H-Pipes

1968 Mustang H-pipes

H-Pipes

The dual-exhaust system on your car is made up of several components, including your exhaust manifold or headers, head pipe, mid-pipe and tailpipes or muffler. A custom exhaust improves your car’s performance by helping it move exhaust gasses faster through the use of larger exhaust piping and a freer-flowing layout. One trick exhaust designers use is connecting both sides of a dual-exhaust system. By doing so, expanding exhaust gasses flow between them. This design, called an H-pipe, delivers increased power and the low rumbling idle that we all know and love from a well-tuned muscle car. We stock a number of 1968 Mustang H-pipes at CJ Pony Parts, making it easy to select a set of pipes that will fit cleanly on your stock or aftermarket exhaust system.

1968 H-Pipes

An Extensive Selection of 1968 Mustang H-pipes

Our selection of 1968 Mustang H-pipes includes options that range from 2 to 2 ½ inches in diameter, allowing you to select the right size for the exhaust system on your car. Cars with exhaust systems closer to the factory size will likely require a smaller diameter pipe, while custom exhaust systems typically use the higher volume pipes.

If you have already installed a set of aftermarket headers on your car, make sure to select the corresponding H-pipes for the headers that you have installed. We carry 1968 Mustang headers and matching H-pipes from Flowmaster and JBA, as well as reproduction Boss 302 H-pipes for those who prefer to keep things factory-spec.
