1979 Mustang Carburetors

The 1979 Mustang was built right around the time when electronic fuel injection began appearing in automobiles, but it still maintained a carbureted design. So even though the third-generation Mustang appeared drastically different from previous Mustangs, this was one design aspect that remained until 1986. The carburetor gives life to your engine – its job is to mix the air and fuel into the proper ratio, which is then fed into the cylinder heads of your engine. From there, a spark occurs in the combustion chamber that moves the pistons of your engine, bringing the whole operation to life. If your engine isn’t running right, you may need to check out what’s going on with your 1979 Mustang carburetor and replace it with an updated model.
