Get the Latest 2015 Mustang News at CJ Pony Parts

If you're like most Mustang owners, news about the upcoming sixth generation, set to debut next year as a 2015 model, can't come fast enough. Preliminary reports have suggested the new Mustang, which marks the car's 50th anniversary, will be a radically different animal than the current crop of pony cars. Of course, if history is any indication, this re-invention is equally likely to be embraced or derided by Mustang fans — only time, and the release of more concrete details by Ford, will tell.

CJ Pony Parts will be keeping you posted with 2015 Mustang updates as we get them, so keep checking our blog and website for the latest information!

What We Know so Far

2015 Mustang front endAs of this fall, there are not a lot of concrete details about the 2015 Mustang. News has been slow to come out of Dearborn, but here's some of what has been confirmed — or strongly hinted at — so far:

  • Styling: Perhaps the most significant break from the current generation of Mustangs will be where the 2015 takes its styling cues from. The Ford Evos concept, first unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, is said to be the inspiration for the Mustang redesign—the few photos that have leaked so far seem to bear this out. Our blog recently caught a glimpse of the new front end, which looks to have eschewed the retro influences of the current generation in favor of something more contemporary and sporty.

  • Engine: Of course, good looks are one thing, but what we really want to know is what's under the hood. Mounting evidence seems to suggest the current 5.0L Coyote will remain, possibly with the option of adding of a turbocharger coming later in the year. It's also believed the current 3.7L V6 will be available as well. Another intriguing rumor has it that a turbocharged 4 cylinder version, initially designed for the European market, will be available stateside. Despite these uncertainties, it's clear the 2015 Mustang will have more power that it's predecessor, even if the engines remain the same. Ford engineers have completely redesigned the car's steering, brakes and suspension, shaving hundreds of pounds off the curb weight in the process.

With every new generation of Mustang comes a new crop of Mustang parts. You can be sure that, when the 2015 is finally introduced, CJ Pony Parts will be the first to offer all the latest performance accessories and aftermarket upgrades. Keep checking back for the latest updates!
