Product Description

Idler Arm Assembly for all 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs with Power Steering.

If you have noticed a decrease in ride quality and drastically increased tire wear, perhaps it is time to revamp and update the components of your 1967-1970 Mustang’s steering system. No one wants to ride in a noisy, bumpy and rough ride and a new idler arm assembly like this one can help eliminate those excessive vibrations you feel. This Idler Arm Assembly for all 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs is a direct stock replacement that will help heighten the power steering’s responsiveness and accuracy.

The idler arm attaches at the one end of the center link on the passenger’s side of the vehicle and this assembly comes with the bushings, hardware and mounting bracket included. The other side of the idler arm bolts directly to the vehicle's frame rail. Typically, the idler arm is attached on the opposite side of the center link from the pitman arm and the vehicle's frame which allows it to hold the center link at the proper height. This Idler Arm Assembly will fit any 1967-1970 Mustang with power steering and comes ready to install directly in place in the stock set up with straight forward, headache-free installation.

Idler arms generally break down and become unstable more quickly than pitman arms because of the pivot function that is built into them. It is a good idea to replace this component of your steering system because after years of use and stress, its integrity is likely compromised. A worn out idler arm can lead to poor ride quality, unpleasant vibrations and unpredictable, uneven steering abilities in your 1967, 1968, 1969 or 1970 Mustang.

If the stock power steering system in your Mustang has become less responsive, is malfunctioning completely or you just want to make a conversion from power to manual steering, or vice versa, CJ Pony Parts has you covered. Ordering any of the more than 500 steering parts here at CJ Pony Parts for any year Mustang is so simple—you can order online right now or give the sales team a call any time to place your order!

Idler Arm Assembly Power Steering 1967-1970 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, not a perfect fit. The center tube is slightly longer than the original, but it fit. Comes with grease fitting for both turn points. The original part didn't. Lower mounting nut side is a little close to the turning nut, but it fits. Good dust boots. Overall a good product.
