My project is a 66 convertible that was originally a 6 banger converted to a V-8. I ordered the V-8 suspension kit because the front springs had dropped and I figured it was due to the bigger motor. Everything was great but the steering links did not fit. The tie rod tapers on the V-8 kit were too small. On my own I figured that they must still be from the 6 cylinder so I ordered the ends for the 6 banger, but they did not fit either.
I ended up talking to Sam in the shop. He knew EXACTLY what my problem was and together we came up with a parts combination to fix the modified steering. Sam even went to the parts bin and made up the fix in the shop to see if it would work. He called me back and concluded that we had in fact found a solution. I ordered it today! AWESOME SERVICE! Not common in a lot of parts centers. Most of the time you're lucky if the guy can do much more then read back the part number to you.
THANKS CJ Pony Parts,
