Accelerator Cable for 1969 Mustangs with a V8 Engine.The accelerator cable connects the accelerator pedal to the carburetor. A "sticky" throttle is most likely caused by a worn accelerator cable. Your engine is controlled by the driver via this cable so make sure it is in good condition. The cable measures 22.71" in length.

I can't say how it works with stock stuff since mine was missing, but it snapped right onto my Edelbrock carb and the square 'holder' for lack of better term, fits snugly into the aftermarket throttle bracket I bought. No complaints!
