Air Conditioner Condenser for all 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993 Mustangs with Factory Air Conditioning.
Does the air conditioning in your Mustang just not cool you off enough? Has it lost that real punch and ability to push cold air into the cabin on those blazing hot days? Then perhaps the air conditioner condenser is leaking freon, is cracked or is just plain too old and it needs replaced.
The freon is pressurized in the condenser, begins to get hot and turns into a gas. This hot gas is then circulated through the air conditioner condenser that dissipates the heat. This Air Conditioner Condenser is located behind the front bumper and sits in front of the radiator, so that the coolest possible air can pass through and around it.
This optimum air flow will cool down the freon in your air conditioning system, losing large amounts of heat and it becomes a liquid. After liquefaction in your Mustang's expansion valve, your air conditioner transmits this cold air into the interior of your Mustang. This condenser is the direct replacement for 1982-1993 Mustangs with only factory air conditioning installed.
Unfortunately the location of the condenser frequently exposes it to potential damage and trauma. If your condenser is bent, broken, leaking or otherwise damaged, it will inhibit the process and impede the necessary steps for efficiently heating up and cooling down the air that will be blown into your 1982-1993 Mustang.

I'm installing a 1989 5.0 H.O. motor in my 1966 Mustang fastback, which air conditioning condenser and dryer canister do I need? I'm using the 1989 compressor and obviously will use the R134 gas.
Is this condenser intended for R134a refrigerant? The image depicts a condenser with inlet and outlet tanks(headers/manifolds) unlike a tube and center construction as the factory R12 condenser.
