Product Description

Airaid CARB Certified Modular Intake Tube for all 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 GT Mustangs.

Are you looking for a 50-state legal performance modification for your late-model Mustang GT? Airaid has just released new Modular Intake Tubes (MIT) for your 2011-2014 Ford Mustang with 5.0L engine. Airaid has obtained CARB certification for these Modular Intake Tubes, and are legal for use and sale in all 50 states. Gone are the days of not being able to alter the intake side of your engine while staying within the confines of the law.

Airaid Modular Intake Tubes optimize airflow to the engine by replacing the factory intake tube. Factory tubes often have odd accordion shaped walls, internal sound-canceling baffles, and undersized tube diameters, all of which will hurt airflow and affect performance. Airaid MIT kits help straighten and improve airflow to the engine while optimizing the location of the mass air sensor. This design will provide better throttle response and additional horsepower along with better fuel economy all while remaining 50-state legal and not requiring a recalibration of the vehicle ECM.

Features and Benefits:
- 50-State Legal Performance
- CARB Certified
- Optimizes Airflow
- Provides Better Throttle Response
- Increases Horsepower and Improves Fuel Economy
- Resistant to Heat Transfer
- Constructed of Strong High-Density Polyethylene
- Includes all Necessary Couplers and Clamps

The Airaid Modular Intake Tube is constructed of cross-linked high-density polyethylene for strength and resistance to heat transfer. MIT tubes are direct replacement for factory intake tubes and accommodate all of the factory sensors and fittings that attach to the factor tube. MIT tubes work with the factory throttle body and intake box. All necessary couplers and clamps are included, and installation will take only a few minutes.

*The Airaid MIT does relocate the MAF Sensor, but it does NOT require a tune. Compatible with factory ECM calibration.

Order the Airaid CARB Certified Modular Intake Tube for your 2011, 2012, 2013, or 2014 Mustang GT from CJ Pony Parts today!

Product Questions

How would this work with a K n& N drop in filter? How much horse power and torque gains with adding both these parts. Only mod I have is mbrp race cat backs. Good combo with all 3 items?

Asked by: loscabosman
It has been tested and proven that the factory air box allows for more cooler denser air. My tuner actually said to run this tube with an AFe dry flow inverted drop in filter. It has more surface area and flows up 300cfm more than the stock filter. Lower IATs with a closed box doesn't allow the heat soak you get from an open air filter.

Will the removal of the sound tube have any adverse affects on the performance of the 5.0 engine.

Asked by: Ragtop1
No, not at all. The sound tube is a novelty item and in no way has any effect on the performance of your Mustang.

Will the roush CAI filter fit this tube without any further modifications?

Asked by: captainmickoo
It's really meant to work with the stock filter in order to keep you legal, particularly in California. If you have the Roush CAI installed, this product would be essentially unnecessary since you can use the Roush tube and filter. We can't say whether it would fit with the Roush filter or not, since it's not been tested and wouldn't be legal in CA.

would this work well with a K&N drop in air filter? The only mod I have is a mbrp race cat backs. Estimated HP & torque gain with all 3?
