These vented 13 inch Baer sport rotors will be direct replacements for the factory rotors on any 2015 through 2017 Mustang GT or Eco-boost with the performance pack option. These are direct replacements that are drilled and slotted, and come with a zinc coating to prevent rust. Again like I mentioned these Baer sport rotors are direct replacements and work with either factory or aftermarket brake pads.
The installation for the rear is basically the same idea as the front. We unbolt the caliper and the bracket and put it aside. Spray some penetrating oil in here to make the rotor easier to remove. Let me show you there is two bolts back here. You want to move the larger ones which are down in here. These will just take the caliper off the bracket. You want to remove the caliper and bracket as one piece so we can the rotor off.
A lot of times a rotor won't easily separate from the hub, so if does grab a hammer and try to tap it off first. There are other ways we can do it but hopefully this will work. Since that didn't work now we are going to try to hit our way around the outside here, again just try to separate this and loosen it up. We are going to remove the factory rotor.
We are ready to install our new Baer sport rotor. They are side specific so make sure you grab the correct one. With the rotor on, slide it into place and we are going to put a single lug nut on just to hold it in place and make it easier to line up the caliper. I'm going to pull the caliper out. We'll start at the top and shimmy it on. We can tighten them up. Then install the wheel, repeat the process on the other side and the installation is finished.
The Baer sport rear rotors will improve our braking performance and match our front rotors perfectly, giving our 2015 GT a nice finished look. The installation is very simple, get the car off the ground, remove the wheel, all we need is a ratchet, an 18 millimeter wrench for installation, and probably about an hour worth of time. We'll be back on the road in no time.
