California Pony Cars Radiator Coolant Tank Cover Black Textured 2015-2017 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15274.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great! Just got this and installed on my 2016 GT coolant tank. Was the exclamation point on my engine dress up project! Was a snap to install as it literally took me only 5 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coolant tank cover I've never cared for the clear plastic coolant tank in my engine compartment. It looked out of place and ugly. I purchased the coolant tank cover and installed it. Very easy, quick installation. WOW! What a nice improvement! Much nicer to look at! It looks as if Ford should have installed it at the factory!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks OEM... The coolant cover arrived a day early, so I just put it on. A little more tricky to put on without the correct pliers, but still do-able with some vice grips. End result, looks very professional, ready for a show!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy installation Fairly easy to install, slot on the back doesn't align with tank spud, had to force it resulting in small crack at the top. Definitely looks better than clear tank with pink coolant. Overpriced

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets The Job Done Installed without much fuss. Definitely makes the engine bay look cleaner and works as described. Only gripe is the plastic could be better quality for the price. It's a little thin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean look I installed this cover on my 2016 and it fits nicely. My Mustang has the black accent package. This part helps to carry the stock look and that theme through the engine bay.
Date published: 2016-02-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick to install. Looks great! The existing clear coolant tank looked out of place, and this simple dress-up option was very easy to install and a relatively cheap alternative to replacing the whole tank.
Date published: 2016-03-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Flimsy Was very thin, didn't like the slit in the back. Didnt seem like there was $80 dollars worth of material there.

During the installation video you mention that you have discussed ways to replace the stock tank. Where can I find that information? Thanks

California Pony Cars Radiator Coolant Tank Cover Black Textured 2015-2017 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: It's no secret by now that the factory coolant tank used on all 2015-2016 Mustangs is kind of an eyesore under the hood. We've shown you a couple ways to replace this tank, but when it comes down to it, the factory tank does a decent job. It just doesn't look so great under the hood. If you want to stick with your factory tank, but improve the looks, we now offer this cover for your coolant tank from CPC.

The CPC Coolant Tank Cover's a very simple concept. It's simply a black, plastic cover made here in the USA. It's going to go right over the top of your factory coolant tank. That way you can keep the factory tank, you don't have to deal with draining it, but you can improve the looks by getting rid of the clear top, which really looks out of place under the hood. It's very simple to install, as we're going to show you on our 2015 Mustang GT.

For this installation you're going to need a quarter- inch ratchet, ten-millimeter socket, and a set of pliers.

We're going to start the installation by removing the two bolts that hold the factory coolant tank to the fan trap. The hose underneath's going to hold the tank in place. It'll move a little bit, but it'll be okay.

Next, we're going to remove the coolant cap cover. Make sure before you begin this installation the car is cooled down, you don't want to do this when it's hot. Next we'll disconnect the hoses. We're going to start with the front one. Give it a couple squeezes, make sure there's no coolant in it. That way it doesn't leak all over the place we disconnect it.

Now I'll put the cover on, starting in the front. Once we have it in place, reconnect the hoses. Next we can re-install the cap. Then the last step is to install the new hardware in the factory location. And your installation's finished.

If you're not looking to change the tank and want to improve looks under your hood, in my opinion, this is the way to do it. This looks OEM. This how, in my opinion, Ford should have made this. CPC cover's a very easy installation, will take you about maybe fifteen minutes, be back on the road in no time.
