Product Description

Boss 302 Style Strut Tower Brace for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 V6 and GT Mustangs and 2012-2013 Boss 302s.

Stiffen the front end of your 2010-2014 Mustang GT or V6 with an original style strut tower brace used on the 2012-2013 Boss 302.

2012-2013 Boss 302 Mustangs came from the factory with this strut tower brace. The brace is a great upgrade for 2010-2014 V6 and GT Mustangs as well. If you are installing a Boss 302 intake manifold (M9424M50BR) on your 2011-2014 GT, this is the strut tower brace for you! The Boss 302 intake is very tall which means this strut tower brace will also clear the stock 2010-2014 GT, Bullitt and V6 intake manifolds as well as the factory 5.0L intake covers.

Features:
- Stiffens chassis
- Improves handling
- Silver powder coated finish
- Clears Boss 302 intake manifold

Not only does the strut tower brace add performance, but it looks great under the hood. The strut tower brace is finished with a silver powder coat for a long lasting finish. Installation of the brace is very easy and only requires the removal of four strut mount nuts. You can have a new strut tower brace installed in a matter of minutes.

If you are adding the Boss 302 intake to your Mustang GT and want to use a strut tower brace, this is the brace for you! *Doesn't clear positive displacement superchargers.

Strut Tower Brace Boss 302 Style V6/GT 2010-2014/2012-2013 Boss 302 is rated 4.8983 out of 5 by 59.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Brace Clears the Magnacharger I installed a Magnacharger on my 2011 Mustang GT Premium Brembo a year ago and thought there had to be a strut tower brace that would fit but no Google search, forum post or vendor I found could confirm that there was a brace that would. I took a chance and ordered this Boss 302 style strut tower brace and it fits perfectly and looks great. Yes, I've got the stock motor mounts. You will need to reengineer the supercharger's coolant reservoir bracket but that's a simple fix. I'm having a local shop build a modified bracket similiar to the one in the kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent STB! For those of you looking for a night and day difference in their Mustang, I would say this does not provide such an experience. It does, however, provide good stability and rigidity in the front end while corner carving and driving hard. I notice a good improvement in handling characteristics as I autocross my car, but for cars that will never see more than the road, the improvements are much more subtle. This STB is sleek and looks great under the hood, and for that reason alone it is worth the money for it. Compared to the much less attractive options there are and many of those are almost double the price, this STB blows the competition away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Between me and you This is the solid piece, the backbone, of any good relationship. In this case it's the relationship is the distance of your strut towers from each other. It's solid, beautifully finished and easy to install. It normally won't fit over a Cobra jet intake, but solid motor mounts and a few carefully placed washers means it's a tight fit. I originally had the FRPP version installed and had to remove that once the Cobra Jet intake was installed. Instantly, the front end firmed up a d felt better again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to my 2006 V6 Convertible I purchased one of these for my 2011 coupe and decided to try and fit it to my 2006 convertible. It was almost a direct bolt on and needed two modifications. This worked for my car and it may or may not work for your 2005 to 2009 Mustang. The first was to clearance the brace on the driver side at the rear edge where the AC lines run fairly close to the strut tower. Some careful cutoff wheel work, grinding, and touch up paint took care of the clearance issue. The second is the hood clearance. It will not fit as made and needed to be shorter to clearance the underneath side of the hood. Some careful work with a press to slightly flatten out the brace for fitting was needed. I measured before, during and after and the height reduction was almost 3/8" and still left 5/16 between the intake manifold and the bottom of the brace. It is a close fit and may not work on your car. The 2011 has a lot of room under the hood compared to the 2006. And yes it does make a difference in cornering. Needless to say the 2011 also got one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Value for the Money I've put strut tower braces on 4 cars now. I highly recommend you put this on any car, but the benefits to a new car are outstanding. Preventing any unibody flex is a good idea. On a new car it is a great idea, as it will keep more of the original stiffness in the unibody causing the car to maintain a tighter feel over the life of the car. I picked this brace up on sale a few weeks back and I expected it to be a poor mans brace by what I paid for it ... wrong! It's a great unit and at twice the price point it would still be a good value. Even if you only have a daily driver, you will be glad you bought this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boss Strut Tower Brace Great addition to my 2014 Mustang. At a substantial savings over other dealers how could you not purchase it from CJ Pony Parts. Really dresses up the engine bay and adds some stiffness to the front suspension. Thanks again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bar at a Great price Not much to say. I think this bar looks the best with its simplistic look and price was great. Especially for the Christmas sale price I git it for. I customized it and really completes look of my engine bay now.

I have a 2007 GT and I just installed a Ford Racing High Rise intake manifold. The Steeda brace I had over the stock intake manifold will not work with the new manifold. Will your brace work on my GT?

What is the reason this won't fit a 2007 gt without intake trim piece? Will it not clear the hood on the 05-09 cars? If this is the same as the ford racing boss stb it should fit 4.6 v8 cars.

Asked by: P3GTManual
I purchased this part from CJ in Aug 2012 and installed it on my 2008 GT. It just fits. The hood liner comes into slight contact. My liner has an indent because of bullet included a strut bar. I have the GT appearance package plenum cover.

Strut Tower Brace Boss 302 Style V6/GT 2010-2014/2012-2013 Boss 302 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: When upgrading the suspension on their Mustangs, many people overlook chassis stiffening. You can buy the best suspension components money can buy, but if the chassis flexible, they're just not going to get the job done. One of the easiest ways to tighten up your chassis is with the use of a strut tower brace. Today we're going to install this Boss 302 strut tower brace from Ford Racing on a 2013 Gotta Have It Race car. The strut tower brace is going to install to your factory bolt on the top of your strut tower. Features a silver powder coated finish which will be nice and durable, and will fit both Mustang GT and V6. For this installation you're going to need a 3/8 ratchet, 3/8 torque wrench and a 13-mm socket.

Installation of the strut tower brace will be very easy. Simply remove the nuts on the inside of the strut mounts on both sides. Once we remove all four nuts, were going to put the strut tower brace into place. Notice an arrow pointing forward, you want to make sure that faces the front of the car when you install the brace. We're going to place it over the four studs from our stud mounts and reinstall the nuts. Just get them snug, because we are going to torque them down. Now were going to torque all the nuts to 26 ft. /lbs.

The strut tower brace is going to fit all 2010 and up GT's and the V6's. If you have a 20 and up 5 L and upgrading the Boss 302 intake, you want to make sure you get this brace as well, because your factory one is not going to clear. Installation is only going to take you a few minutes; you'll be back on the road in no time.
