Center Console Assembly Manual Transmission Coupe/Fastback 1967

Product Description

Complete Center Console Assembly for all 1967 Mustang Coupes and Fastbacks with a Manual Transmission.

This center console is a great addition to all 1967 Coupes and Fastbacks that did not have a center console stock from the factory. Also this is a great replacement part for Mustangs that had a console in them from the factory as well. As a replacement, this will fit directly in place of the old console, but as an addition you will need to perform some slight modifications for its proper installation. This is a fantastic looking upgrade that will house the radio and shifter while providing an extra compartment for small item storage and even includes an ashtray!

If you are adding this console to a 1967 Mustang with a manual transmission that did not have a console originally, there are a few things to consider first. If you have factory A/C in your Mustang, the existing floor vent that is connected to the blower sticks out too much to be able to slide the console in the proper place. You will need to modify your vent or source the vent to a different location to allow for its proper function. You may also need to source the stock console radio brackets; a 3 piece set that attaches the console to the dash and holds on to the back of the radio. It is also recommended that you replace your shifter with one that is correct for a car with a center console to avoid clearance and fitment issues.

Includes:
- Console Housing
- Radio/Console Door Bezel
- Console Door
- Console Top Plate
- Console Shift Plate
- Console Ashtray
- Console Rear Lamp Assembly w/ Lens & Bulb
- Console Harness

This is one of the most complete center console assemblies available on the market today. Order online or call CJ Pony Parts today to place your order and kick start the stale appearance of your 1967 Mustang's interior!

Center Console Assembly Manual Transmission Coupe/Fastback 1967 is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only As Good As The Cheapest Parts! Overall, I am satisfied with this console (although it is hugely overpriced!). However, the two pieces that are really important, as you see them the most, are the Console Top Plate and the Console Shift Plate. These two parts are very flimsy. In fact, the solid black Console Top Plate is very thin plastic and was too short, so it caught right away as I shifted into gear and bent. I went out and purchased a Hilroy binder with a thick plastic cover and fabricated a replacement plate that is about 3/4 inch longer, so it doesn't catch. Shouldn't have had to do this....I am not blaming CJ, as apparently, all Mustang suppliers get this from only one manufacturer.

Product Questions

I have a 1968 mustang convertible, Hurst 4 speed with factory air. How much conversion/cutting is required to make this console fit? I do not want to replace the shifter but cutting the A/C vents would be ok.
