CJ Pony Parts 10.5" King Cobra Style Clutch Kit for 1986-2001 V8 Mustangs.
Features: This is a great clutch for cars with up to 350 rear wheel horsepower. It has great wear characteristics and a lighter pedal than most high performance clutches, so if you want a better than stock clutch with a stock feel than this is for you.
Specifics: The pressure plate is made from nodular iron, the clutch disc has a sprung hub for shock absorption and smooth operation, and is made slightly thinner for quicker release.
Includes: Clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool.
Please Note: 2001 Mustang Owners must check the Trans code on their data tag to verify which transmission they have. If it says 6 this clutch kit will work. If it says K then this clutch kit will not work.
*Does not fit 1999 or 2001 Cobras.
*One thing to note of this clutch is that some 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L Bellhousings will possibly need to have the area "trimmed" in between the bottom/center and clutch release lever hole. Ford had two foundries make their bellhousings and only one has this issue, it is most common on 1989-1990 bellhousings. For some reason, the bellhousings from the one foundry had a raised "lip" that can cause contact/interference with the Pressure Plate. The area around the inside of the bellhousing needs to be trimmed approximately 8-10MM.

I upgraded to King Cobra clutch in my 90 GT and it has been great for the 2+ years that I have used it. The clutch pedal offers great feedback without being too stiff. It has handled drag racing, auto-x and I daily drive it during the summer.
Clutch was awesome drove my car for two years with it atleast. its lasted thru alot, including a trans input shaft repair, and some tranny bearing replacement. im just now getting some slip out of it so im gettin a new clutch disk.
I bought this clutch because it was cheap and I wasn't trying to spend much money but if I had known the pedal was going to take a workout program to depress, I would have spent a little more money on a better clutch.
