Choosing the Right Clutch
Whether you use your Mustang SVT Cobra for racing or daily driving, a bad clutch is never okay. Not only will it impair your driving experience, but it also carries the possibility of causing severe damage to the rest of your Mustang. Shop CJ Pony Parts today, and be sure that your clutch is up to the job.
Please Note: 2001 Mustang Owners must check the Trans code on their data tag to verify which transmission they have. If it says 6 this clutch kit will work. If it says K then this clutch kit will not work.
*Does not fit 1999 or 2001 Cobras.
*Some 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L Bellhousings will possibly need to have the area "trimmed" in between the bottom/center and clutch release lever hole. Ford had two foundries make their bellhousings and only one had this issue. This problem is most common on 1989-1990 bellhousings. The incorrect bellhousings had a raised "lip" that can cause contact/interference with the pressure plate. The area around the inside of the bellhousing needs to be trimmed approximately 8-10mm.
