Product Description

Classic Design Concepts Shaker System for 2011-2012 GT Mustangs.

Give your 2011-2012 Mustang an intimidating, classic look with the CDC Shaker System and its pronounced, cast aluminum hood scoop. Not only will your Mustang look better, but this component also works as a completely functional Ram Air product that will boost performance with an increase in horsepower.

Engineered with multiple water management systems to prevent water from entering the engine, making foul-weather driving concerns obsolete. Also utilizes the factory air box so engine flashing is not necessary, leaving your emissions unchanged and warranty intact.

Installs using your stock aluminum hood which has a factory-stamped recess in the hood's inner layer. This element was included by Ford specifically for the CDC Shaker to maintain the structural integrity of the hood after the hole has been cut.

Includes:
- Engine dress-up cover
- Cast aluminum scoop
- All necessary hardware & duct work
- Installation instructions and template

Give your car that COOL ram air functionality from days of yore!
I bought this back in August of 2011 for my 2011 Silver GT/CS. Finally got the nerve to install it a few weeks ago. It came out great! I love seeing this scoop from behind the wheel. Now my 2011 Mustang has ram air to match my '71 with ram air. It is intimidating to cut into the hood, but if I did it, anyone with an inkling of mechanical prowess should be able to install this item. Just make sure the measurements are correct and take your time making the cut in the hood. Here are 3 tips: 1) Somehow mask the entire hood so that the metal shavings stay off the paint, 2) Add extra layers of tape along the cut line (as recommended by CDC) so the saw does not scratch the hood, and 3) Before applying the upper trim ring to the hood with the adhesive, make sure the rivet holes line up with the lower trim ring to avoid having to drill new holes.

Top notch product
I didn't want a fake hood scoop. I had a 70 Mach 1 when I was a teenager. It takes some nerve to cut a hole in a 2012 hood but take your time and it will be great. Doesn't shake much because the 5.0 is so smooth. Just a little on start up. trying to upload a pix but can't get it done for some reason.
