Product Description

Classic Tube Stainless Steel Single to Dual Bowl Master Cylinder Conversion Lines for all 1965-1966 Mustangs with Drum Brakes.

If you want to upgrade your 1965-1966 Mustang with a single bowl master cylinder to a dual bowl master cylinder set-up, this Classic Tube Stainless Steel Single to Dual Bowl Master Cylinder Conversion Lines kit MU14200-SC will provide all the necessary pieces to do so. The small lines included are constructed from stainless steel and will hold their form and shine during the battle with the elements, time and through general wear and tear suffered from daily exposure.

Kit Includes:
- Stainless Steel Small Lines
- Plugs and Connectors

These short lines come with all the necessary plugs and connectors for a simple and straightforward installation process that you can trust. In conjunction with a new dual bowl master cylinder, these stainless steel lines connect everything together properly and securely, giving your 1965-1966 Mustang the jump to the far safer dual bowl master cylinder brake set-up. After this installation you will notice a significant increase in braking power and if there is a malfunction of some sort, i.e. the front brakes don’t work properly; the rear brakes will still function independently!

Classic Tube Single To Dual Bowl Master Cylinder Conversion Lines Stainless Steel Drum Brake 1965-1966 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The devil is in the details. I purchased this kit a couple of weeks ago. I watched the installation video and was ready to go. After removing the old master cylinder and lines I was disappointed the find that the supplied front brake line had the wrong fitting. The problem is solved by replacing the factory distribution block with a tee but, this requires a trip to the parts store a 2 hr. round trip for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality, but did not work for my application. I upgraded my 66 Mustang I6 to a dual bowl MC and purchased these brake lines to ease the installation. The quality is good, I purchased the stainless steel because for a couple more dollars it was worth it. The lines came without kinks and bent to near perfect. Unfortunately, the distribution block in my 66 did not work with the rear reservoir line. Coming out of the MC was the right size, but going into the distribution block it was not. CJ supplied me with a 3/8 sized connector when I needed a 7/16. The line coming from my stock MC was also 1/4 sized where as the one in the kit was 3/16 line. I'm assuming the stock setup required a larger line coming out of the MC since it needed to be able to pressurize all 4 brakes, where as now it only needed to supply 2 per line. A quick trip to the local auto store solved my problem, as I just bought a simple "T" brake line connector with 3/8 connectors all around. It even worked out better since I didn't need to plug one of the ports on my original distribution block. Overall, great product. But just like what Bill says in the video, be prepared that it might not work 100% with your setup.

Product Questions

Are the master cylinder connections on these lines 3/8" and 1/2"? Thank you.

Asked by: blueoval50
Yes they are, I needed an adapter for my pro portioning valve which threw off the geometry, but I made it fit.
