The classic 1971-1973 Mustang's original clutch linkage isn't a bad design. When the equalizer bar is properly installed and adjusted, it works quite well. The equalizer bar can get damaged or worn out so replace your original bar with a factory correct unit.
This equalizer bar transmits the clutch pedal movement, through the pedal rod to the clutch fork. The equalizer bar runs between the V8 engine block and the driver side frame. The 4-speed clutch pedal and adjustable clutch fork rods attach to the bar as well as the clutch pedal return spring.
Please Note: Mounting hardware is not included.
The equalizer bar frame bracket attaches to the driver side of the frame which holds the (Z Bar) Equalizer bar into place allowing the bar to move freely. This bar and frame bracket is painted in a dark gray paint making it look attractive to the owner and everyone that might look at it.
