Product DescriptionClutch Release Lever Bracket for all 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1968 Mustangs Built Before February 15th, 1968 with a 6-Cylinder Engine.
This direct replacement Clutch Release Lever Bracket for all 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1968 Mustangs, built before February 15th, 1968 with a 6-cylinder engine, helps to solidify and retain the correct set up of the clutch release lever or fork. This clutch release lever bracket is located inside of the bellhousing and helps to lighten the holding force of the springs when the clutch is disengaged. This is integral and vital to the proper function of the manual transmission as a whole because the clutch cable is attached to this lever on one end and the throw out bearing on the opposite end, two of the main components in your Mustang's manual transmission.
The clutch fork pivots on this bracket and helps to attain, or regain, that smooth feel and sound of effortless shifting in your 1965, 1966, 1967 or 1968 Mustang, built before February 15th, 1968 with a 6-cylinder engine. The clutch release lever is an important part to have updated and checked for integrity, especially on older cars, whose clutch and components have seen extended wear and use.
*Includes the necessary mounting bolts and nuts.
