Product Description

COBB Rear Motor Mount for all 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Focus STs.

Stock engine mounts tend to allow wheel hop and engine movement, two unwanted occurrences while enthusiastically driving your beloved 2013-2016 Focus ST. The COBB Rear Motor Mount incorporates a unique bushing, specifically designed and engineered to improve traction without harshness.

This motor mount is made from 6061 billet aluminum with zinc hardware for an impressive look and a reliable, strong construction. The COBB Rear Motor Mount is the best way to minimize engine movement, improve traction, and reduce wheel hop without major impact to NVH.

Typical bushing design will rattle your teeth and bones when your Focus ST is idling or during heavy throttle input. This COBB Rear Motor Mount implements unique voids and recesses that are custom molded into the brawny, 85A durometer bushing to further aid in vibration absorption.

Reduce engine movement and help in getting all the power to the ground with this upgraded, strong rear engine support. Machined 6061 billet aluminum construction makes you sad you have to hide this attractive new mount, but with less noise, vibration or harshness you will surely be smiling wide.

COBB is an automotive engineering company dedicated to developing solutions that increase the driving experience and vehicle performance. COBB approaches design by taking the entire vehicle-platform into account as a complete system. Their premium value products are professionally engineered, thoroughly tested and backed to make sure that they meet and exceed customer expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like a whole new car. Finally the way I want it! Have had this on for about 3 weeks now and every time I drive the MS3 it feels like a new car from what I remember. Rumbles a bit more, but just enough. Feels much more connected to the ground. Torque steer 80% reduced. Wheel hop 70% reduced. I really enjoy driving the MS3 again now (to put this in perspective, the MS3 was my backup car for my 911. I just sold the 911 and told my wife I was going to put a few upgrades in the MS3. Sure I miss the 911 some, but have really been enjoying the MS3 with this upgrade much more than I thought I would). HIGHLY recommend this upgrade for anyone with a MS3. Slightly rumblier, but totally driveable like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it's weight in gold!!! Only had this part on for about 75 miles and it is amazing! Zero wheel hop, zero torque steer! I haven't noticed any extra noise or vibration ( aside from the very little that the turbo back exhaust causes) in the cabin at all so, my guess, for the guys that were having a lot of issues with it probably just cranked down on the bolts without the proper torque settings or, forgot to re-tighten the bolts after a couple days of driving (just a guess). Honestly, with all the upgrades I've put on my sweet girl STella, this one is by far the best! Worth every penny and then some. Great job, once again, to COBB for producing another extremely high quality part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality part I was told after buying my car that the stock RMM in the 2013-14 ST was not the greatest. After doing some research, I finally bought my COBB RMM and installed it 3 days ago. This removal of the stock one was super easy. When I got to installing the new one, I had a hard time accessing some of the spaces to put the bolts back in but other than that it was super easy. I started my car up and definitely felt the vibration of the engine but I was told to give it some time and that would get a little better. As for the wheel hop... there is NONE! It took care of my problem in first and second gear where my car would jump like crazy. Everything feels a lot stiffer now too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build, great price I've had this on my gen 2 MS3 for almost a month now. So much better than oem! Shifts are smoother, no more knocking noise when slamming through the gears and the torque steer is greatly reduced (I'm sure replacing the passenger mount would pretty much do away with it). There is more NVH but for me it's only been in a small portion of the rpm band (1700-2400) and it's not really bad. I actually like the noise. Install was super easy. Conclusion: If you want your car to shift the way it should have from the factory, get more power to the wheels and still have a comfortable ride I would highly recommend this mount.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stiff Mount First of all, Cobb doesn't even sell this item anymore. In fact, when I purchased the rmm it was part of their stage 2 package. After an entire year of massive amounts of vibrations and trips to the dealership with ac problems at idle..I decided I was going to make my 2014 st with 16k on it completely stock and sell it. Well, before I took the front clip and piping off, I decided to take the cobb rmm off and put the stock rmm back on first. To my surprise, all my ac problems and vibration problems disappeared instantly. Do not buy this rmm!! It is solid and holds that motor great. However, the excess rubber on the mount will send all those vibrations everywhere but the motor and almost cause you to sell your ST.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade! I know that this product is intended for the ST, but when I started getting the bang in my Naturally Aspired 2013 Focus SE, I decided to upgrade my mounts. I got a TTR upper mount first. It fixed some of the issues, but there was still some wheel hop and the bang was still there. I bought the Cobb mount, problem solved. Wheel hop totally gone, no bang whatsoever, it even reduced the vibrations I was feeling after installing the TTR upper mount. For those of you not 100% satisfied with the Cobb mount alone, get the TTR Upper one too. Together they are awesome! Great Product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Results First thing, definitely feel the difference right after the install. I didn't have much torque steer given having a strut bar and lowered..but my wheel hop was still pretty bad. Especially when it was colder out. You can feel the difference in the handling, wheel hop, and even the little torque steer I may have had. Feels great. Only flaw I would say, since I have turbo back I did notice after the install the vibrations in lower rpm/idle range increased. But not worth taking off a star and the increased vibrations gives it a deeper tone so I like it any ways. Great product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good mount for hard driving, but with consequences. The mount does its job. Wheel and motor hop is pretty much gone, and the shifts definitely feel better during hard driving. However the first thing i noticed after installing the mount was the substantial increase in NVH, especially at idle with the AC compressor running. I honestly thought my mechanic had broken something, literally. During stop and go driving in traffic it is very noticeable. End of the day its all about compromise, while it has improved the performance, the NVH suffers. Kinda obvious, but i was not expecting it.

Product Questions

Just recently put this mount in on my 2015 st. I'm hearing rattling coming from the mount but I've tightened everything up twice. I know there's supposed to be vibrations but not rattling. Maybe I did something wrong?

Asked by: Kevnip
It could possibly be something else like the exhaust, or heat shields.

So I finally got this installed on my 2014 st, and i noticed that it has vibration around 1000 rpm, and i saw that several other people have reported this. Is this something reported alot? And does driving on the RMM help a little bit with this? Thanks!

Asked by: Al3x
That's one of the tradeoffs of a stronger motor mount - you get more power to the wheels, but a bit more vibration.
