COMP Cams Camshaft Set High Energy 268H Hydraulic Flat Tappet 1500-5500 RPM 289/302 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cam I am the proud owner of a 1976 Nova Concours 2 door coupe for 20 years. I have gone through 3 different bump sticks trying to find the features that I want. I clicked on an audible of advertisement of bump stick, it got my attention and I purchased immediately, installed it, when that engine roared to life, my neighbors thought I had lost my mind. I ran around in the back yard in a roar that was louder than the engine. I fell in love immediately with the cam. I love every one of its features. The noting idle cannot be described. Love my Comp Cam.

i have a stock 289 4 bar 1965 Mustang. Would the Comp Cam work well with other stock components? Would idle quality or gas mileage be significantly effected? Do you recommend changing the intake?--thank you

Asked by: Bryan k
We would recommend going with the full kit. You will definitely get a slight lopey idle and with the increase in power your fuel economy may decrease. If you are going to make this investment it would be best to upgrade your intake manifold and carburetor at the same time.

What can be the expected horsepower output withstock ford 4 barrel carb.?

Asked by: jacko
That is not a number that is provided by the manufacturer. There is too many other variables that can determine horsepower. But what is known is that this kit is a huge improvement over stock.
