New Part, New Review
This is not the same part as the prior version. I wrote that review also but waited until I was ready to finish my project to ask if they had a compatible part. CJ Pony received the revised design and it is excellent. It fits well and looks great. I am now a "happy customer".
Not compatible with trim plate
When I purchased all of the trim pieces to renew the original console in my 1965 M/T fastback, the Manual transmission trim plate did not have the same finish as the other components nor did it fit correctly. When the shift plate was fully inserted on the trim plate, the front edge was 1/8 inch above the trim plate. The difference seemed to be in the radius of the curve. The ribbed area also had significantly different finish on the background. While the parts appear well made in their own way, they are not compatible with each other. Matching components are not available. This is for manual transmission shift plates only. Also, make sure you ALWAYS test fit before any parts are installed. Installed parts are not returnable.
