This is a solid, one piece design metal fitting that will snugly screw in to place and regulate the amount of steering fluid that passes through. This inverted flair fitting it the same exact reducer that is included with the 1967 power steering control valve (CV3) with a 1/4" pressure port. This allows you to use either control valve's return and pressure hoses and not worry about leaks or malfunctions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Midnight Blue66 from Good Product! Rebuilt the Control Valve on my 1966 Mustan. Upon reassembly, the original threads were not in good shape and leaked. I was not lucky in finding this fitting anywhere else. Though this reducer is stated to be for a 1967, I took a chance - it is the exact same one my '66 needed. 5/16" Male Inverted Flair (Control Valve End) to a 1/4 " Female Inverted Flair fitting (Pressure hose / tube end). The control Valve on my car is the one that bolts to the drag link (not separate like the later ones), and fit the new Scott Drake Pressure line perfectly.
