This Currie 28-Spline Complete Third Member Assembly for all 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 V8 Mustangs with an 8" Rear End comes pre-assembled so you can bolt it in place and be back on the street in no time. This unit is all inclusive with the cast iron shell protecting the gears and all the other components inside as well. This third member is designed for Mustangs with a 28-spline axle and has a Detroit TrueTrac differential with worm gear style posi-traction that provides resolute, limited slip.

The evenly distributed power to the back wheels combined with the ability to automatically adjust wheel speed while driving makes this a great upgrade or replacement for any 1965-1973 Mustang with an 8” rear end that may have lost a step or two over the years. You can even choose which gear ratio best suits the application and situation in which you drive your Mustang in.
