Dash Pad Cover 1969-1970 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive Restoration Option The dash pad cover is a great alternative if you're not ready to spend the big bucks on the Ford Tooling Dash Pad. Installation requires a bit of patience as you need to glue the dash pad cover on top of the existing Dash Pad. I'm not sure if it was me or the product itself but I ended up with a couple of spots that don't quite line all the way up, leaving a few gaps underneath where the dash pad curves around the front and these drive me a little crazy, but that's also because I know it’s there. No one has mentioned anything about those gaps unless I pointed it out. One other issue that has arisen since I installed the DP cover- the top of the cover (passenger side) has warped due to extreme heat. I don't know exactly when it happened, but all of a sudden I noticed an area about 6"x8" was obviously exposed to heat damaged and the thick plastic actually rippled up with peaks and valleys about an inch high. This, like the gaps, is probably user error. I have been relatively happy with the product; it was a vast improvement over the completely trashed dash pad that was there when I bought her. Looking back I wish I would have invested the extra cash for the premium replacement dash pad, but at the time I couldn't afford it. I would absolutely recommend this less expensive option to bring your interior into better shape, but just with a warning to take extra care during the installation and to protect the piece from extreme heat.

Product Questions

greetings, I bought this product and want to know if they have some vidio to show me how to install my mustang 1970 thanks .

Asked by: alieduardor
There is no video for this product yet, I would suggest test fitting first, cleaning with rubbing alcohol, than gluing in place with a clear silicone adhesive.

do you have installation instructions?  I have the cover but no instruction sheet or adhesive

Asked by: Carson68
Contact our Customer Care team - they can get those to you. You can live without instructions, but the adhesive is pretty key and should've been included.

Hi there, sorry if this question is dumb. So I can leave my old sun rotted pad in place and pop this over? Or can I remove the ruined one and put this in its place? If I pop it over the old one is it seamless, or does it still reveal the old one?

Asked by: Dante
This is only a dash pad cover - you need to use your old dash pad with it. It covers it completely.
