Great Doors

I've read so many 'horror stories' regarding poor repro doors, that I thought it would be money well spent to order the better repro doors. First of all, they were packed extremely well and arrived damage free. Second, when we mounted them we had no problems getting them to align with the factory quarter panels. The body lines matched up almost perfectly, or so close that I could not pick out any difference. I am totally satisfied and glad that I spent the extra money. If you're looking for doors, these are worth checking out. Good job Dynacorn!

At first I was concerned because on both the left and right door the top of the door near the quarter had a good gap and was flush with the quarter, and yet the bottom of the door was sticking out a bit more than adjustment could compensate for. I found that I needed to mount the doors and then "twist" them into fitting up properly, so keep that in mind. The gap at the bottom of the door is consistent, but a bit much for my tastes,but it works. The overall finish was great and I would buy them again. I would like to know the difference between these doors and the cheaper doors as far as fit and finish go.

I had heard good and bad things about repro doors - but I have nothing but good things to say about mine. They needed a bit of sanding along the edges to get them to have good consistent gaps, but were really not bad at all to work with. All of the holes on the inside were exactly consistent with stock, so there were no problems installing windows, door panels, etc.

Ripples in the metal

I purchased a pair and overall the doors are pretty good. However, the drivers door has ripples in the metal on the hinge side. In the pictures (second row, second picture) you can see ripples. I contacted CJ Pony Parts because I thought it was a manufacturing defect. Apparently, this is considered normal. The other reproduction doors (DRL) have the same problem (shown it the pictures for that door as well). Not the end of the world, but disappointing.

The doors are a very nice fit and finish. I like the quality of them however; they are listed as 64-66. YOU MUST USE 66 BOLTS on 1965 mustangs

The doors on my 66 Mustang were rusted out all along the bottom so I bought both doors. Great quality, and it even has the texture on the compartment side of the door. Very pleased and each door was well boxed up inside another box.

I was impressed with the quality of the doors I received. My original doors were in poor shape and the amount of time required to repair them would have been very substantial. I spent quite some time adjusting the hinges and on the drivers side door I had to shim the upper hinge out just slightly. However, I was able to get a good fit and consistent door gaps without any alterations to the door itself.
