Rated 4 out of 5 by Frank1 from Brakeline forming tool Using the tool correctly gives good results especially when trying to keep your installation tight to frame, cross members, etc. Does leave mark on tubing that can be eliminated by gently massaging the tool with a correct size, fine rat tail file. Doesn't leave any structural damage on tubing but the mark left would be a negative if you are looking for perfection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Docslyd from Does the intended job, but sharp edges. Some have been critical of this tool, but it's not intended to form lines, only to make corrections. If you understand this, it serves the purpose just fine. I did take the advice of another customer and took a needle file and radiused the jaw then polished it with a rubber point to break the sharp edge. It really helps, so that the tool doesn't mar the tubing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Hoof from Awesome Pliers I bought these bending pliers on a whim and I'm glad I did!! I had some brake lines I needed bent due to doing a motor swap and I almost freaked out til my buddy showed the pliers to me. So not only did the pliers do their job perfectly (fast too) they also saved me a bunch of money. I'm looking forward to doing more business with eastwood.com

Rated 4 out of 5 by stevef from Good for intended purpose As has been mentioned already, the tool makes marks on the line. The notches have sharp edges where they hold the line. So, I used a rat tail file on the sharp edges to round them a bit, and sanded and polished them smooth. So, now they don't make a sharp mark. Sometimes makes a dull mark instead. The tool is good for making minor bends only in my opinion. So, I wouldn't expect it to be the only bender needed to make all your bends. Experimenting, I made a 180 bend with it with some 1/4" nicop line, but it was not easy or pretty, and difficult to do without a kink. A different bender would be better suited for that much bend. Still, it will be useful for making lesser bends quickly and adjustments when installing the line. I also found that holding the line in the tool while slowly bending the line over the tool groove was the best method instead of twisting the line with the tool. It's good to have as part of your line bending tool collection. I'm glad I got it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dfenimore from Good tool at a reasonable price 1) it works. Use it carefully though or you'll mar the brake line with creases. 2) it works well. grasp the line with the tool but don't twist the tool to bend the line. Instead, use the tool to hold and back the line as you bend the line against the groove of the tool with your other hand. 3) quality of the tool is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shaneo from A great tool I have just purchased this tool and found it to be a great for tweaking the brake line for the correct fit into the Brake Cylinder or Proportional Valve. It does leave a small mark where the jaws clamp onto the line but nothing that will impede the flow of fluid through to the brakes. All up, it works for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nick from a must for some jobs If you are working in a tight area or if the other end of the line is still connected this tool will do the job. It is especially good for bends that are real close to the end. I have 2 or 3 other brake line tools and this is my favorite one to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Geezer from Works well Only tried it on a scrap peice of tubing so far, but it worked great. I made a tight bend in 3/16" brake tubing, and it looked good with no kinking of the tubing. I'll be putting it to use in a day or two replumbing the brakes on a 67 Dodge Charger.
