Eastwood 3 Piece External Coil Spring Compressor. For safe installation and removal of coil springs, use Eastwood's External Coil Spring Compressor. The external coil spring compressor works where an internal-type compressor won't.
Includes three 5/8" diameter shafts, three safety hooks and instructions. Unlike conventional internal compressors, the three shafts fit on the outside of the spring, so you can remove and install springs on virtually any vehicle. The three safety hooks accommodate coils up to 3/4" diameter and are designed only to retain the tool on the spring and not secure the actual "finger".
Made in the USA!
*Not for use on MacPherson struts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roofgunner from These are good! They state that this is and external compressor but what makes it good is that it can be used internally. I did all the springs on my 65 Cutlass/442 with this tool.( I had an internal compressor but on the Cutlass springs the arms will not grip the coils. ) I put two of the compressors inside the spring on one side and in the correct position which put a slight bend in the spring which is necessary for installation and with two of them it made it safe in case on failed. Once the spring is in place I raised lower control arm a little and removed both compressors through the bottom hole in the arm in pieces. Very easy and safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chav from Gained Confidence In the Product As I Used It More I bought this spring compressor in advance waiting for my daughter to bring her 2001 Hyundai Tiburon to my house so I could change out her struts. I had never tried to change struts before and was really concerned about the safety of compressing the springs. I was very slow on the first strut because I had not used this product until then. After the first strut and fumbling my way through the process and not having any problems, I felt better doing the second strut. I now have total confidence in the Eastwood spring compressor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Boshaw from A Disappointment I purchased this external coil compressor to use on the coil over shock application of my Triumph Spitfire. Unfortunately, it did not allow enough room to insert the shock in the coil and so was unsuitable for my application. Does appear to be well made. Will keep it in my tool stock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BobbyJ42 from Worked like a charm! I used this tool to help with the installation of front shock absorbers. Couldn't have done it with out the tool. The tool itself is very robust and safe, so I had no worries about breakage and little concern of getting hurt when using it.

Reading the instructions, can I assume this is an ideal compressor for 1965 mustang front springs?
You would want to use an internal style spring compressor.

will these work on a 2006 Infiniti 6 speed sedan
This tool is not intended to use on McPherson strut style springs which I think your car has.
