Works great with modification
This is a quality tool, but I initially had trouble getting this to work on my 66 Mustang. If you use it straight out of the box (which is how it's shown on the CJ videos), it will be an exercise in futility. The screw is too long when the spring is compressed to remove or install the spring unless you have it at a very specific, nearly impossible to achieve angle. And even then, when you go to unscrew it to decompress the spring, it will mar your upper control arm. I spent a full day trying and failing.

The secret is to use a bunch of 5/8" flat washers at the top, 40 plus the two it comes with seemed to be the magic number for me on my stock 66 Mustang. Adding washers solves two problems: 1) the screw doesn't interfere with installation, and 2) the hex at the top now sticks out above the shock tower so you don't need an extension.

WORKS
Shaft is too long for 1965 Mustang but if you have a 1/2 inch ID by 4-5 inches long water pipe, insert the shaft as spacer then it works perfect.

Poor quality tool
Bolt is too long and hits the spring perch when you try to compress the spring on a 1965 Mustang. Tom.
