Product Description

Eastwood 220VAC/175A Output MIG Welder.

As a home hobbyist or light fabricator, you don't need to spend more for a "brand name" industrial MIG welder. Eastwood's R&D guys developed the Eastwood MIG 175 Welder from scratch to produce excellent bead quality and capabilities that match and even exceed the more expensive competition!

Eastwood's unit welds 24-gauge body panels beautifully. The amperage and output voltage can be controlled precisely to get the proper penetration required. The wire speed can be infinitely adjusted also to gain proper wire fill in the weld pool. This unit has been compared to the leading U.S. manufactured red welders with equal results at a fraction of the cost. The drive roll mechanism, the heart of any MIG welder, is designed to Eastwood specifications and delivers flawless wire feed without skipping or slipping on the wire.

The MIG Welder comes complete (except for the gas cylinder) and ready to weld 24-gauge to 5/16" steel and 14-gauge to 1/4" aluminum. Welder has a 30% duty cycle at 130 amps, and 30-175 amp welding range. Feeds wire at 4.9 ft/min to 39.3 ft/min per minute, and has infinitely adjustable wire speed and heat settings.

Includes a precision-drive motor, regulator with hose, wire, tips and accessories, just add your own cylinder of CO2/Argon. A "Quick Set" weld chart specifies settings for each material thickness, eliminating guesswork and assuring complete penetration.

MIG Welder Includes:
- MIG 175 Welder
- Spool Gun with 9' cable (works with 2 lb wire spools only) - 0.030" Steel MIG Wire
- 0.030" Aluminum Wire
- Gas Regulator with Hose
- 8' Ground Cable and Gun Cable

Eastwood MIG Welder 220VAC/175A Output with Spool Gun is rated 3.7586 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I've had the MIG 175 for a little over a year and it worked flawlessly until the plastic housing containing torch/gas line connection broke. I was bummed when I read review by Jim53 claiming customer service didn't respond to the same problem. Fortunately that was not the case for me - customer service instantly mailed the part (complete drive unit, wire feed motor and all) to me and I was back up and running within 3 days. I would recommend the unit, but be very careful about putting any strain on the torch connection as this is cheap plastic - they should improve the design. Overall it's a great welder for the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gas Line Hookup Broke After using the welder about 5 times I heard a hissing inside of the welder when I turned on the gas. I found the plastic connection inside of welder that the air line plugs into was broke. This cant be simply fixed because it is molded into the plastic that houses the wire feed wheels. I tried calling Eastwood many times. I was always transferred to tech support and always put into a answering machine that said something like “All our techs are busy-tell us your problem, leave your name and number and we will call you back”. I left many messages but never got a call back. I don’t like flux core welding so I shelved the unit, lost hundreds of dollars and bought a different brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's not worth it Well all I got to say is go put your money into a well known brand named welder and you will be very happy with it knowing that it will always work unlike this one I got but retuned it for my money back because I went through 3 of these welder with in less than a year. Reason why is the gas selonoid will not work like how its really suppose to. Besides when you get the package it says on the side something like manufacture in CHINA. So yeah it China made quality stuff. Well learn a lesson for me and how it willfor some of you guy thinking about getting this welder. Go spend that extra money on a miller or linclon and you will be one happy person. Got me a linclon welder coming in at airgas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I got my Eastwood MIG 175 Welder yesterday and couldn't wait to get it setup. I went right to town and picked up a tank of Argon, set up the spool gun and welded aluminum for the first time. After 5 minutes of practice on some scrap, we rolled our Aluma trailer into the shop for some repairs. 2 years ago I took this trailer to a pro weld shop to have some cracks repaired - they lasted 3 days before they cracked again. If I may say so our welds look a whole lot better than those of the weld shop. We are very impressed with this welder!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE I bought the Eastwood 175 on Monday and it was at my house Tuesday. I set it all up and found two small problems. The hose between the bottle and the machine was sliced at the crimp fitting, and the wire drive motor on its highest setting would feed at a high rate, then slow down after about 3 seconds of feed. I emailed them last night and someone from tech support called me at 10am this morning and they're sending a new drive motor and a new hose. I am very happy with their customer support. I hope this machine lasts many years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from eastwood mig welder 175 welder looked great. got ready and tried to weld and was very unhappy because welder would not weld correct. removed cover and found the main wire to cond. nut had never been tightened and was just making connection part time . this was after waiting a week longer receiving the order than was told. the location of the gas hose and power cord has a lot to be desired because they come out the back right where the bottle is and hits the bottle if you don't space it forward about 2" with the new cart I purchased with the welder

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice quality welder I bought this Eastwood MIG 175 for a few reasons. I wanted a quality welder that could do all the usual car, motorcycle home projects that I do. I also wanted to be able to weld aluminum and be 220v. I found the Eastwood welder by searching google. I read plenty of reviews and decided this is the one I want. It has all the features I wanted plus the price was right. So I ordered it. First thing this is heavy. I was used to my HF 90amp flux core welder. I just bought a welding gas bottle and started practicing yesterday. Wow is all I can say. The welds are so clean. I played with the wire speed control and the power level. Cool that it has infinite adjustment. I am glad I made this purchase. Now I need another bottle of 100% argon so I can do some aluminum welding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Welder,,,,,Great warranty !!!! I originally purchased my mig 175 over two years ago. My son and I had no problems with the welder through fourteen major projects !! I used this welder more often than my old Lincoln, just because it was easier to use and welded better !!! When it failed I did NOT expect Eastwood to cover it.... after all I used this welder waaayy more than a DIY'er. But that is EXACTLY what they did !!!! 3 years no questions asked warranty !!! When they told me to return everything, I balked.... I didn't feel right returning the spool gun and parts that I considered consumable. But they were persistent, and in less than two weeks a complete NEW welder arrived ! So as for the negative reviews ????? Eastwood customer service is impeccable and they have a customer for life !!!
