Quart of Eastwood Rust Converter.Eastwood's Rust Converter halts residual rust in its tracks and converts the surface to a black protective polymeric coating. This protective coating seals out moisture and can be top coated with most paints. This single component converter can be sprayed or brush applied. One gallon covers about 200-300 square feet, one quart covers about 50 to 75 square feet.
Simply use a wire brush to remove loose rust and scale. Brush on or spay on the converter with no mixing needed and the treated surface will turn to a dark paintable surface.
*Not for use on bare metal or painted surfaces.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 48 chev truck from Misleading Product I ordered rust converter after reading all the product descriptions to try and trap some surface rust underneath my truck cab. After applying the product I noticed that it wasn't adhering to most of the area. I contacted Eastwood and they said the product only works on deep, heavy rust - which is not a part of the product description. So they advised to sand off the product and use rust encapsulator. So this product does not work on all rust, just heavy rust and encapsulator should have been used int he first place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hoots from Better follow the directions or else! This is the 3rd or 4th quart bottle I've used in restoration projects. It does work on properly prepared metals BUT if you apply it to rust as they claim you can, you then will trap any moisture between the new barrier and the bad metal and she will continue to rust all over again. Take it down to as much bare metal as possible but do not apply it to rust!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stiffy from Rust converter Worked well and a quart goes along way! I poured small amounts into plastic mix cup to use. Covered with encapsulater and seems to be working well! Longevity will be the test as the seasons change to winter. Very happy and prep, prep, and prep more is key I believe?

Rated 5 out of 5 by BRAM from very good product I have used this on a 1978 GMC pickup and an Allis Chalmers tractor. It is a very effective product but when the shipping cost is a quarter of the price of the item, that leaves a little bit to be desired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin65 from Seems to work just great I have used this in hard to get to areas, after removing as much rust as possible. After curing, the area gets coated with rust encapsulated and it seems to be holding up quite well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by joe bonn from eastwood rust converter Used it on the frame of pick up truck. Took a wire brush to it first though. Turned the frame black. Time will tell how well it works. I plan to paint over it with the encapsulter.
