Product Description

Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger Kit for 2011-2014 GT Mustangs.

When it comes to adding horsepower at a great value, it’s hard to do better than forced induction. The addition of an Edelbrock supercharger to your Mustang’s already potent V-8 will deliver an instant and noticeable increase in performance. Sure, your car was fast before, but a supercharger kit will elevate its performance to levels above and beyond. This kit is dyno proven at 550 horsepower and 500lbs of torque, and there’s potential to make even more power in the future.

Solutions like this Edelbrock supercharger kit work by increasing the amount of air that goes into your Mustang’s engine. The supercharger is like a pump that pulls atmospheric air into your intake at a much higher rate than the engine’s factory intake system. Because the engine is receiving more air, it can increase the amount of fuel that is mixed in to create a combustion charge. This in turn results in a more intense combustion and therefore more horsepower and torque. Getting the most out your Edelbrock supercharger requires good planning, though, because the addition of more air and fuel affects the way your engine runs.

All About Performance

To allow the increase in airflow, Edelbrock’s supercharger kit includes an upgraded intake manifold that can more efficiently direct air into the combustion chamber. Edelbrock’s team have taken care to ensure that this particular kit will fit beneath the factory hood of your 2011-2014 Mustang, which means you’ll have one heck of a sleeper on your hands should you choose not to advertise your new upgrade. Another interesting point about the addition of a supercharger to your car is that you’ll realize additional power gains thanks to other upgrades, compared to what you might have seen if your car was naturally aspirated.

Because the supercharger enhances your Coyote motor’s ability to make power, other bolt-on upgrades will be more effective. An intake system that might add 10 horsepower on a naturally aspirated car could be good for 15 or 20 horsepower on your supercharged Mustang. The addition of a free-flowing exhaust system could realize similar gains, headers will net you a very noticeable increase, and so on. The Edelbrock kit includes re-mapped engine tuning, but if you decide to get really aggressive down the road, you can add larger fuel injectors and even change the size of your supercharger pulley to realize even greater power gains. Whether installing this well-thought-out kit is just the first step or you’ve got bigger plans, it’s a great value in terms of the performance increase you’ll realize.

An Elegant Design

The core of the system is the all new Eaton Gen VI TVS Supercharger rotating assembly. Eaton's assembly features a four lobe design with 160 of twist for maximum flow, minimum temperature rise and quiet operation for excellent drivability. The supercharger assembly has been integrated into the intake manifold for a seamless design with minimal components, eliminating the possibility of vacuum leaks between gasket surfaces. Edelbrock's unique inverted supercharger assembly is placed low in the valley, allowing for an incredible industry leading 15" of intake runner length for maximizing low end torque. An integrated bypass valve helps eliminate parasitic loss under light throttle for improved mileage potential.

The system breathes through a specially engineered 85mm electronic throttle body matched with the most unique and efficient inlet configuration on the market. This combination results in a shorter, less restrictive intake path for improved air flow, eliminating the need for a jack-shaft. Keeping the air cool is a 110 square inch high capacity air to water intercooler and dual core low temp heat exchanger. This intercooler is the largest available on the market today.

Product Questions

can I fit it in a 69 fastback

Asked by: tybo
This part is the edelbrock supercharger, but if you are asking about the coyote 5.0, it will only fit if you change the front suspension to one that eliminates the shock towers. This engine will also require a late model transmission, that would require the trans tunnel to be modified. This would also require a engine control pack to be installed a fuel system and modifications to the cooling system and exhaust ,just to name a few of the modifications that will need done.

This is an edelbrock supercharger kit for the coyote 5.0 engine, though you could install this engine in a crown vic it would require quite a bit of modifications to make it work.

Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger Kit GT 2011-2014 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: If you're into cars, chances are, you've probably owned an Edelbrock product at some point. This iconic brand has been around for over 75 years, making everything from carburetors to superchargers. Today, we have Cary, the national sales manager from Edelbrock, here to tell us about the product and the company. Cary, thanks for coming.

Cary: Hi Bill, how are you today? Thanks for having me.

Bill: Sure. Tell us a little bit about Edelbrock.

Cary: Edelbrock has been around since 1938. It was founded out from Vic Edelbrock in Southern California. Back in the day, he started out in midget racing. From there, he expanded on to the Ford Flatheads. One of the first manifolds that he actually created was a slingshot. It's interesting because all it really was, was two- barrel manifold or two-barrel carburetors that funneled down into one base manifold and it looked just like a sling shot. We offer many domestic based products for many applications but really, we have a good coverage of Ford products as well.

Bill: You guys are known for your manifolds, your carburetors. What other product lines that Edelbrock offer?

Cary: We offer very diverse product mix from fuel pumps to carburetors to accessories and those would include air cleaners and valve covers and breathers and those types of things, but really, on the old school stuff, that's where that comes into play. On the modern muscle side of things, we have superchargers. So, when you really want to turn up the wick and get your modern Mustang to move into the future, we can fix you up there as well.

Bill: I know almost all of your products have this amazing USA right in the front here. Is that true for everything you guys make?

Cary: For 95% of the products we make, absolutely. It's made in the USA between Southern California and in Sanford, North Carolina. All of our carburetors are made in Sanford, North California. All of our aluminum products are actually made out in Southern California. We have our own foundry, where we cast all of our own aluminum products. We have our own machining center, warehousing center, where we stock everything in that regard.

There are some of those items that are cold-sensitive type items that refer into air cleaners and such chrome based type products. We make sure on those items that we do not make here in the States that we absolutely quality inspect every item 100%, to make sure that you're getting a quality product from Edelbrock.

Bill: Excellent. What kind of new products you have coming down the pipe?

Cary: New products that we have coming down the pipe really revolve around our E-Force Supercharger Kit for the Mustang. We actually have figured out that horsepower levels are not what they used to be. A 500-horsepower kit used to be the number. That's what everybody wants.

Bill: That's standard.

Cary: That's standard protocol. But now, everybody wants more. We're actually coming out with the Stage 2 kit for our E-Force that's actually going to allow you to have a higher horsepower version. It's not going to be 50-Statel legal, but it will give you that extra kick in the pants that will really compete with some of the other competitors that are out there, and that's on the new side.

On the old side, we actually have a E-Street EFI Kit that has a self-learn style, throttle body injection that you replace your carburetor with, to give you a better startup, drivability and mileage increase.

Bill: Excellent. Thanks for taking the time to visit, we appreciate it.

Cary: I appreciate it.
