Electric Fuel Pump Safety Switch for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs. When upgrading to an electric fuel pump, proper wiring can seem complicated. The Electric Fuel Pump Safety Switch is designed for Mustangs being upgraded from a mechanical fuel pump to an electric inline or in-tank fuel pump. Wiring is simplified and done so safely. The fuel pump will only run if there is a tach signal from the ignition so the pump will shut off if you are in an accident. In addition, the switch primes the pump for three seconds at initial key-on.

The fuel pump controller is a "must have" for any pony car equipped with an electric fuel pump. When the key is first turned on, the fuel pump operates for three seconds to prime the fuel system. This makes starting your Mustang fast and easy. After priming, the pump is only allowed to run when the engine is running. In the event of a crash, the fuel pump will turn off, stopping fuel flow. No plumbing into the oil lines or adding an extra priming button is needed. The Electric Fuel Pump Safety switch takes care of everything!

By Bill Tumas: We're here with and electric fuel pump controller fitting all classic Mustangs, or any car being converted to electric fuel pump. A fuel pump controller is the perfect part when wiring up your electric fuel pump conversion in your early Mustang. It's going to work like a modern car, when you turn the key it actually primes the pop and then shuts it off, just like a normal new car would. It holds a built in safety switch, green wire is going to run to your tack lead. When there's no tack signal, the engine stops running, the controller will actually shut your fuel pump off. It will work when you turn the engine off, or in case of an accident. The fuel pump controller is a must have for both safety and performance when converting your classic Mustang to an electric fuel pump.
