Product Description

Exterior touch up paint for 1964-1973 Mustangs.

The years ranges listed next to the color name are the years the color was offered from Ford on a Mustang.

These convenient 12 ounce aerosol cans are perfect for minor touch ups on the daily driver. Great for lower valances, door jambs, underhood, inside trunk area and misc. spot repair. These are made from the original paint supplier to Ford in the sixties using the exact same lacquer formulas that Ford used. Ford?s paint code can be found on your door data tag. Please note that due to the fact that most cars have been repainted and there are many types of paint (synthetic enamel, acrylic enamel, lacquers, clear coats, etc.) plus deterioration and fading of older paint we can not guarantee a perfect match.

Cannot be shipped via air shipments.

Exterior Touch Up Paint 1964-1973 is rated 2.3333 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Vintage Burgandy paint The Vintage Burgundy paint is great, I used it painted over truck bed coating in our trunk area and it looks great. We are using it all of our door jams as well. Paint is a little thin, but once you get used to painting it, it comes out great and is durable. It is doing exactly as it is described for it's usage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Quality I got the white and the 65 red. The white is so thin that even after three coats you could still see the primer. I tried putting it on thicker and the stuff is so watery that it just runs off. I will have to sand down the entire piece and start from scratch. I tried to use the red on the quarter trip panel metal. It is totally the wrong color. The can says 65 red (which is the bright red) and what came out was basically 66 red (which is basically maroon). Not even close. Also going to have to sand down this piece and start over. Total waste of time, don't buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lousy color match I needed to do a small body repair on my 66 Mustang and then painted it with Signal Flare Red which appears as the 65 Poppy red on the car and the primer is still visible. CJ Pony, you need to find a different supplier.
