Fender Extension Assembly for 1965-1966 Mustangs.Instead of replacing one piece at a time with the headlights, why not upgrade to a reproduction assembly saving you time and money. Also known as the headlight bucket, this complete assembly will fit the driver side of your Mustang.
-Headlight retaining ring
-All necessary hardware for installation
This assembly is functional only because it will support a headlight on your Mustang. Cosmetically, it is dysfunctional. Only gobs of Bondo (and LOTS of bodywork) will allow the headlight door to blend with an early Mustang fender. If you have an iota of mechanical ability and creativity, you're better off getting the Cal Pony Car's headlight bucket repair and fix your old bucket. NONE of these reproduction parts are worth it. Use OEM whenever possible, and learn how to do the work yourself; nobody cares about your car more than YOU do!
I bought these purely based on the cost, I thought why not see how they are. With some time spent by the panel beater they came up perfect!! Either way if you buy genuine nos or replica parts they will need work to make fit properly.
What else would I expect. Looks like it was cast in a kids sandbox in Bangladesh. Nothing like doing extensive body work to brand new panels. I purchased the set and did use them on the car but after massive adjustments and trimming. Be prepared.
assembly looks nice but does not fit fender very well and the door does not fit as well very disappointed but you guys did say it was a copy i will not be useing this on my car and thanks any way.

By Bill Tumas: We’re here with replacement headlight bucket assemblies for all 1965 through 1966 Mustangs. The original headlight buckets on your '65 through '66 Mustang are made of pot-metal, which makes them very difficult to repair if damaged. These reproduction assemblies are going to fit just like your original and are going to include your fender extension, your headlight door, new headlight buckets, headlight trim rings, and all necessary installation hardware. While these can be used on a 1964 1/2 Mustang, the shape of the bucket right here is not correct.
