Fiesta ST Lighting
The Ford Fiesta ST has some serious technology packages including the advanced My Ford Touch Sync stereo and infotainment system. This technologically advanced audio package relies on advanced voice command technology. Simply tell the car what music you want to hear, who you’d like to call or where you need directions to and, voila, Sync responds to your command. For a vehicle with such advanced technology, it’s a little surprising to find out that the majority of the Ford Fiesta ST lighting system consists of old-fashioned incandescent and halogen based bulbs. Luckily, there are plenty of aftermarket LED bulbs available for upgrading the Fiesta ST lighting system.

Swapping Fiesta ST Incandescent or Halogen Bulbs for LED BulbsIf you’d like to replace your Ford Fiesta ST light bulbs with ultra-bright and efficient LED bulbs, it’s helpful to know the OEM bulb sizes. The following Fiesta ST light bulbs fall under either the incandescent or halogen category and may be upgraded to a quality LED version:
• Reverse Lights – 921 Bulbs
• Brake Lights – 3157 Bulbs
• Dome Light – 2886X Bulb
• High Beam – H1 Bulbs
• Low Beam – H11 Bulbs
• License Plate, Map Light and Cargo Light Bulb – 194 Bulb (Also known as 2825 or 168 Bulbs) • Front Side Marker Light – 194 Bulb (Also known as 2825 or 168 Bulbs)
• Rear Side Marker and Tail Light Bulb – 3157 Bulbs
• Front and Rear Turn Signals and Parking Light Bulb – 3157a Bulbs (The “a” refers to amber color.)
There is a trick to upgrading your Fiesta ST bulbs to LED bulbs. The computer in the Fiesta reads the resistance coming from the factory halogen turn signal bulbs. If the car computer sees a fluctuation in this standard resistance, it will think the bulb is bad, making your turn signals blink fast. The trick to correcting this is to place a resistor in line that allows the computer to see the same level of resistance as the factory halogen bulb.
