Product Description

FOOSE 17" x 8" Chrome Knuckle Wheel for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs.

Looking to give the exterior of your 1965-1973 Mustang a facelift? There isn’t any better way to do just that with a brand new set of FOOSE Knuckle Wheels! Designed just for your Pony, these wheels are resonant of the classic Bullitt-style wheels with a modern twist.

These wheels from FOOSE feature five split rounded spokes that extend from the center hub to the outside of the barrel. Split by a single lug, each split-spoke at first glance looks like the old-school Bullitt wheel. However, this split-spoke design will definitely warrant a double-take.

The recessed deep dish lip also is indicative of the vintage muscle car look; and with a bright mirror-like chrome finish, you’ll be sure to break some necks driving down the street. With the large diameter barrel of this wheel, you’ll be able to show off your brakes as well.

Product Questions

Would to love to put these on my 03 New Edge GT. Would these fit the new edge Mustangs?

Asked by: JMF23
No. The offsets and backspacing are not correct.

I have a 65 Mustang within weeks of a full restoration. The one thing I can't seem to get an answer about is what size tires and wheels will fit my car. What would be the largest 5 lug tires and rims that would fit and what would you recommend?

Asked by: Major Malfunction
Hard to say. There are a half dozen variables that play into what might be the largest tire size for your car. The best advice is to check measurements against the measurements of your proposed wheels to see what actually fits on your specific vehicle. We cannot make a recommendation without that data and sight unseen.

I have a 1969 Mustang, but it has a 1971 9inch rear end which is 1 inch wider on each side. Can I get my rear wheels with 5.25 or 5.5 inch backspace and the fronts with the standard 4.5 inch backspace?

Asked by: bullbiker
Not in this package. You'll likely have to order the fronts separately from the rears. I don't know that we offer a wheel and tire package with the varied backspacing numbers that you seek.

Hello I own a 68 Mustang c200 deluxe coupe.  It has 4-lug configuration, just wanted to know if these will fit if i put a 5 lug adapter of the appropriate size? Any issues with backspacing?

Asked by: musStang
I'd say that it's likely, but I'd check measurements thoroughly between the adapter, your brakes, and the dimensions of the wheel.

I am interested in these wheels but I want 17 x 8 on the front and on back either 17 x 9, 17 x 9.5, 18 x 9, 18 x 9.5. Is staggering an options. I know when I go to foose's website the knuckle wheels have at least 18 x 9 or 18 x 9.5.

Asked by: Wm72cm68
The 17x8 options are the largest size we have available, which are already a stretch for fitment on classic Mustangs. Going even larger might be a real challenge to get properly fitted, and we can't recommend that.

FOOSE Knuckle Wheel 17"x8" Chrome 1965-1973 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: We’re here, with a 17" Knuckle wheel by FOOSE fitting your 1965 through 1973 Mustang.

This Knuckle wheel by FOOSE is finished in a brilliant chrome and looks great on your '65 through '73 Mustang. This is a 17"x8" wheel which will fit the back of your '65 through '73, but don't use those, though, for the front of your '65 through'68. These wheels include the center cap and due to the design of the wheel will require the use of small diameter lug nuts for installation.

The Knuckle wheel's also available in a 17"x7" fitment. Staggered wheel kits, as well as wheel entire packages, are available.
