Over the years the door lock striker bolt can become damaged due to everyday day use. The original door striker bolt threads into the B-pillar on either side of your Mustang. The latch assembly clamps around the striker bolt securely holding the door in place till the door is opened manually. This door lock striker will work on 1972-1973 Mustangs as well as 1979-1982 Mustangs.

With this being an OEM Ford Part you know that the fit and finish is correct for your Mustang. Ford Includes a durable plastic bushing that helps align the door latch to the door lock striker bolt. Ford uses a torx bit style bolt to help tighten and align the door latch to the door striker. The door lock striker can be adjusted to move the door to properly align the door with the quarter panel. The door striker bolt is sold individually, two are required per Mustang.
