Product Questions

I just bought a 66 project, needs a motor and transmission, which transmission would be best with this motor and 66 body.

Asked by: Texaas
That all depends on what you plan on doing with the project. Do you want an Automatic or a Manual, are you going to add a power adder down the road, etc... We have plenty of transmissions to pick from.

I was planning on upgrading to this engine for my 70 Mach 1.  Will this installation require reinforced engine mount and rails? Will i have to upgrade to a high pressure fuel pump for the EFI setup? Are there any wire harness or computer modules included?

Asked by: Rmpaez
No reinforcements are necessary, if you are using fuel injection a higher pressure pump will be needed, there is no wiring harness included.

Would this fit in my 66 mustang ?

Asked by: Jsp303
This engine would fit your 66 mustang, but would require additional parts like intake, carb, headers, radiator, etc. It has a reverse style serpentine water pump. The oil pan and oil pump pick up tube would have to be changed to a front sump. So it is not just a straight drop in.

I am building a 97 ranger for the street and strip what engine and 4 or 5 spd trans would you recommend? How do I get your company as a sponsor?

Asked by: wander1900
It's hard to say. While many of our crate engines might work well for you, we don't have the experience with Rangers to say yes or no on anything. We won't be able to sponsor a Ranger, since they really aren't part of our primary market.
