Product Description

Ford Performance By Borla Stainless Steel Touring 2-1/2" Cat-Back Exhaust System with 4" Chrome Exhaust Tips for all 2015-2017 GT Mustangs.

Right away, one of the first things people will notice on the new 2015-2017 Mustang GT is how quiet the factory exhaust is. Although you can still tell there is a 5.0L V8 under the hood, the factory exhaust leaves most muscle car enthusiasts needing just a little more volume and tone.

Ford Performance introduces their brand new Touring Cat-Back system by Borla for all 2015-2017 GT Mustangs to help solve this problem. Manufactured out of T-304 Stainless Steel, this 2-1/2" cat-back exhaust system will give you a more aggressive muscle car sound, but yet retain a low and smooth tone. The Ford Racing by Borla Cat-Back exhaust system utilizes an integral X-pipe that bolts directly to your factory catalytic converters, keeping your Mustang 100% emission compliant. And the tuned stainless steel mufflers with 4" chrome-plated stainless steel tips not only sound great but look amazing as well.

Features and Benefits:
- Easy Installation, Bolts Directly to Stock Catalytic Converters
- Full Stainless Steel Construction
- Chrome plated 4” Exhaust Tips
- 50 State Drive-by Noise Legal

Ford Performance By Borla Cat-Back Exhaust System 2-1/2" Touring Stainless Steel With 4" Chrome Tips GT 2015-2017 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome exhaust! I bought this for my 2015 GT Convertible and had my local Ford dealer install it..I'm VERY pleased with this system-in my opinion it sounds perfect! I chose the chrome tips for contrast as the car is black w/black top..There is a nice rumble at cruising with no drone inside the cabin until you get past 80 mph, and it has a mean muscular growl and tone when you accelerate..Also, the 4 inch tips with Ford Racing embossed in them look much better and bolder than the smaller factory tips..I definitely recommend this system to anyone wanting to make their GT sound like it should...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Louder than expected I selected this exhaust system for multiple reasons. I like the Ford name on it and also like the fact that Borla was involved in producing it. I also chose this 'touring' version to keep the sound level down a bit. However, the sound is more like what I would have expected from the 'sport' version. I live in Colorado and recently drove through Wyoming to the Black Hills. It's an 80 mph speed limit in WY. The exhaust definitely is loud in the cabin at those speeds. I like the sound of it at lower speeds but this isn't what I'd call a 'touring' sound. Still overall positive on this, however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's exactly what the Coyote needed. The exhaust is exactly what CJ's promised. I installed it the night it arrived at the house. Did it in the garage on jack-stands, and it still only took an hour. Fired the car up and fell in love. My car only had 700 or so miles on it, so the factory exhaust may not have been fully "seasoned". But it doesn't matter, because the Ford Racing exhaust sounded GREAT right out of the box. I'm completely satisfied and highly recommend the Touring exhaust by Borla.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent product - Sound still growing on me Exhaust is sound is very important to me and I tried for 6 months to find a cat back I liked. I was trying to avoid the "Blapping" raspiness of most of the new exhausts out there. I thought I had the perfect sounding exhaust in the Ford Racing Touring by using videos on the web as examples. Once installed I was in love until I went to WOT. Where this exhaust sounds perfect to me up to 3/4 throttle (it is deep and powerful with just the right volume) it does have that "blapping raspiness" I despise at WOT. It has been getting deeper as time has gone on (2 weeks) and I do enjoy the times I spend just driving around. Only time will tell if it settles into something I like at WOT or if I have to try a couple new mufflers. Fit and finish outstanding, shipment from CJ was outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great exhaust, permanent grin while driving You all heard the sound on various videos.. so I'll be brief: Pros: - Easy Install - Permanent smile or smirk while driving - Looking crazy when laughing or talking to yourself because you love the sound - Makes your Stang feels like a different car Cons: - Drags attention - Need to granny shift when there are cops around - You will consume more gas cause you just want to floor it now with that sound - neighbors don't like me as much as before :P Love it. 10/10 Recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sound tradeoffs, excellent quality Just had these installed by my local Ford dealer. Went on easily and fit perfectly. He assured me the Ford Racing logos all over the system would help if there were any issue re warranty claims. Nice deep sound with no raspiness - I prefer this to the louder, cracking sound the Sport and Atak versions have. Noticeably louder on acceleration and deceleration than stock but mild at cruising speeds (70 - 75). Borla quality is hard to beat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound from the Borla CB Touring Finally pulled the trigger on the system (have had my '16 GT since March), and what a sound. This together with removing the sound tube, and the car absolutely sings. One hitch to the installation from the video: I was not able to slide the stock system back far enough to get it off the front end, but by unbolting the rear-most hangers from the frame, it came right down and out. Install of the Borla system is every bit as easy as the video looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sounding exhaust system The great thing about this Borla system is that you mix and match and change the system easily to suit your needs. You can do the axle back and if that doesn't provide the tone you are looking for you can buy the X-pipes and eliminate the resonator and create a more aggressive sound with no drone. No other system provides that much flexibility. I love this system.

Hello to you awesome people! 1. What will it cost me in Aussie Dollars to get one landed at my doorstep (Mildura, Vic 3500, Australia). 2. If I decide it's too quiet, will the Sport mufflers slip on?

Ford Racing Touring  Cat-Back  Exhaust system  . are they legal in California ?

Asked by: Betogto
This specific system is 50 State Drive-by Noise Legal.

I just purchased this system from you.  The hangers on the intermediate pipes are opposite than shown in the photo and in your video.  They go front to back into the hangers rather than back to front like stock.   This concerns me.  They might rub?

Asked by: MarkbNH
It won't rub.

I'm looking for a system that is not too loud for a daily driver. I'm considering the ford racing touring or the magnaflow competition, but I find it hard to compare them through videos. Could you give me a better idea as to which would fit the bill?

Asked by: 2016 GT
Your best bet is going to be to make a judgement based on the videos. Everyone's ear is different, so we aren't going to be able to make that call for you, since what you consider too loud might be just fine for us. That being said, I'd think the MagnaFlow is going to be louder, since it's their competition series, which is generally louder. The touring is pretty tame comparably, since it's more of a street exhaust.

Why is this system rated as "moderate" difficulty to install while most other brand kits are rated as "easy"?

Asked by: MarkbNH
Most are rated moderate. Installations for cat-backs are all practically the same.

Ford Performance By Borla Cat-Back Exhaust System 2-1/2" Touring Stainless Steel With 4" Chrome Tips GT 2015-2017 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: We’re here with Ford Racing by Borla’s Touring Cat-Back exhaust system fitting your 2015 Mustang GT.

Ford Racing teamed up with Borla to offer this 2 ½ inch T304 stainless steel cat-back exhaust system for your 2015 Mustang GT. It replaces the heavy factory resonator with a true X pipe, coring back through two mandrill bent tail pipes into a set of Ford Racing by Borla mufflers. The mufflers lead into a set of Ford Racing chrome 4 inch tips with a Ford Racing logo embossed on the end. This cat-back exhaust system is a direct bolt onto your 2015 Mustang, requires no cutting. The touring system’s going to give you a nice tone without being overly aggressive, and as an added benefit is 30 pounds lighter than the factory system found in your 2015 Mustang GT.
