2001 cobra 4.6 heads will it work

Asked by: St nick
RK is correct. NO ! Not even close because the 2001 4.6 liter Cobra heads are the over head cam (OHC) type featuring two camshafts per head. They're specific to Fords current generation of highly advanced V-8 engines that are identified as "modular" engines or better known as the mod family of engines.  The M-6010-B351 "Boss 351"cylinder block is Fords newest, technically advanced and vastly improved version of the block used in the more conventional small block V-8 engines, identified as the "Windsor" series.  It features a single cam engineered inside the block. By design it must use the older over head valve (OHV) type of heads. These are just a few reasons why none of the parts between the Modular and Windsor families of engines are interchangeable.  Good luck building !
