Product Description

Ford Racing Short Throw Shifter with a Shift Knob for 2011-2014 V6/GT and 2012-2013 Boss 302 Mustangs with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission.

Looking for quicker shifts? Look no further. Ford Racing's short shifter features a 40% throw reduction and it is built in the USA from the highest quality materials. Machined from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and 304 stainless steel. The dual pivot trunnion allows for minimal loss of the neutral left to right throw. The shifter comes with a billet aluminum 2-post design shifter bracket which will help eliminate missed shifts due to shifter deflection caused by the flimsy factory shifter bracket. Both parts have a blue anodized finish.

This shifter is easy to install with no permanent modification while maintaining factory reverse lock out and back-up camera. Factory knob height is kept and the shifter accepts factory knobs. A white round shift knob is included with a 6-speed shift pattern imprinted on the top which comes with a chrome plated adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to shift now! Got this in about a month ago. Be sure to flip the shifter before you install it if you have a '13 or better. Otherwise you'll be shifting into reverse all the time. It's sweet! Takes a day or so to learn to be gentle with it. Also takes some serious forearms to get it into reverse at all for the first while. Best deal around for shifter, ball and bracket.

Product Questions

Does this have the reverse lock out so you can"t go into reverse my mistake?

Asked by: big blue 14
Yes, it maintains the factory reverse lockout.

Hi, I was wondering if a base gasket is required for shifter installation.  Or is it a good idea, or not at all because it will interfere with clearances.  I see Shifter Gasket Set, #SG3, in the catalog, but not online.  Thanks for your advice and time.

Asked by: Sammy
A shifter gasket is not required and SG3 is no longer available.
