Headlight Bowl 1965-1966 is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible!!! Installed new halogen headlights in my 66 a short while ago and discovered that the headlight bowls were rusty. Bought these replacement pieces and went to install today. When I went to reinstall my headlights I discovered that the original stainless ring holding the headlight to the bowl wouldn't tighten down and was distorting the ring. Before I totally ruined the ring I took everything apart and compared the new bowl to the original. The 3 ears on the bowl that the stainless ring secures to are bent wrong. The new bowl has them 1/2 inch from the face of the bowl while the original one has the ears at 1/4 inch so the ring will never sit flat on the ears. I also discovered that the hole for the tension spring is too small for the spring so that it makes it harder to install the spring and it binds the whole adjustment of the headlight. Buyers beware. Are there other manufacturers of this part?
