Replacement Headlight Switch for 1965-1968 Mustangs. Fits 1965 models built after 11/16/1964.When replacing your original switch, depress the spring loaded button on the side of the Mustang headlight switch assembly and pull the headlight knob out. This allows the knob and shaft to be removed so you can access the switch.
I searched several brick and mortar stores for this headlight switch. All of them had the part, however they wanted $60-$85 bucks for it. I looked the switch up on CJ Pony Parts and they had it in stock. I purchased it for a third of the retail price. I'm very happy with the quality and ease of installation. The videos CJ provides help a lot for do it yourself mechanics!! I will definitely purchase again from this website.
Installed with no issues and now my dash lights work.
I purchased new halogen headlights and was really excited to drive at night until the lights cycled off. I purchased and installed the switch in under an hour. I read you could reach under the dash and push the button to release the pull. I had to remove the dash, but it went quickly after that. I also had the added benefit that my dash lights started working again. Sweet.
Headlight switch was easy to install after dash cluster was removed on my 66. Works fine but didn't fix my problem of dim dash lights and flickering interior lights, guess I have some other problem.
Easy to replace. I had no lights before, now they look great.
Fits just like the original. Easy install no issues what so ever with install. Fixed my flickering lights and dash lights.
This switch brought back functionality with the lights that I didn't know I had.
