Product Description

Ididit Ford Style Direct Swap Tilt Steering Column for 1965-1966 Mustangs.

Enjoy many miles of smooth cruising when you add the convenience, comfort and reliability of a new steering column built specifically for your classic Mustang. Ididit's Ford style steering column is a direct swap, just add your stock Mustang wheel to the top of the column and the gripping surface of the wheel will be in the same location.

Included with your new column is a floor mount to secure the lower half of the column to the floor. Save your original under-dash mount to secure the column to your dash. Use one of Ididit's installation kits to make installing the column to your steering box or rack and pinion system a breeze.

Standard Features:
- Self-canceling turn signals
- Tilt function
- Knobs and handles
- Floor mount
- Ford turn signal switch
- Ford top shaft allows you to use your original Ford steering wheel
- 3/4"-36 spline lower shaft

Available in your choice of a black powder-coated finish, a chrome plated finish or in bare steel for you to add your own classic finish.

*Requires a 3/4"-DD x 3/4"-36 spline coupler to attach to the steering box (HW2916).

Do I still use my long shaft in my 66 mustang. I understand that it has to be cut at the top for the tilt part to work. Is this correct?

Asked by: Marvin Gentz
The long shaft has to be cut 4 inches from the nut on the steering box.

Will this adapt to the Borgenson power steering kit for '65 Mustang and is it sold without shaft

Asked by: jeemccarthy
It could adapt, but might need some customization depending on your Mustang. It isn't sold without a shaft, since it's a shaft kit.
