Product Description

Ididit Ford Style Direct Swap Tilt Steering Column for 1965-1966 Mustangs.

Enjoy many miles of smooth cruising when you add the convenience, comfort and reliability of a new steering column built specifically for your classic Mustang. Ididit's Ford style steering column is a direct swap, just add your stock Mustang wheel to the top of the column and the gripping surface of the wheel will be in the same location.

Included with your new column is a floor mount to secure the lower half of the column to the floor. Save your original under-dash mount to secure the column to your dash. Use one of Ididit's installation kits to make installing the column to your steering box or rack and pinion system a breeze.

Standard Features:
- Self-canceling turn signals
- Tilt function
- Knobs and handles
- Floor mount
- Ford turn signal switch
- Ford top shaft allows you to use your original Ford steering wheel
- 3/4"-36 spline lower shaft

Available in your choice of a black powder-coated finish, a chrome plated finish or in bare steel for you to add your own classic finish.

*Requires a 3/4"-DD x 3/4"-36 spline coupler to attach to the steering box (HW2916).
*The long shaft from the 1965-1966 steering box must be modified and shortened.

Buitiful
i bought this with power steering and had cjponyparts install them both. i got this because service told me that they had to cut the original steering column down. so i figured that if i buy this unit that is specifically made for my 65 fastback it would cut down on labor. well no such luck i got charged the same as if they where cutting this as well even though its a drop in unit.

as far as quality goes it works great. i got the chrome version, and the tilt is very handy when getting out (not that I'm a fat slob)

only gripe is that the wiring could have a mesh loom on the exposed part under the dash ( added it myself
