Ididit Ford Style Direct Swap Tilt Steering Column for 1968 Mustangs.
Enjoy many miles of smooth cruising when you add the convenience, comfort and reliability of a new steering column built specifically for your classic Mustang. Ididit's Ford style steering column is a direct swap, just add your stock Mustang wheel to the top of the column and the gripping surface of the wheel will be in the same location.
Included with your new column is a floor mount to secure the lower half of the column to the floor. Save your original under-dash mount to secure the column to your dash. Use one of Ididit's installation kits to make installing the column to your steering box or rack and pinion system a breeze.

- Self-canceling turn signals

- Ford top shaft allows you to use your original Ford steering wheel
- 3/4”-36 spline lower shaft
- 4-way flashers(67-69 only)
Available in your choice of a black powder-coated finish, a chrome plated finish or in bare steel for you to add your own classic finish.
*1968 Mustangs require installation kit part number HW2913 which includes 2 u-joints and a short shaft.
*The rag joint works as a coupler as well as a vibration dampener.

Do your homework if using Borgeson PS.
68 C/S here - I'm also installing the Borgeson power steering unit. The adapter kit HW2913 will not work with the Borgeson unit. It makes the column WAY too long. I adapted a 3/4 - 36 spline connector and the column is still too long. So I called IDIDIT - and they said they've found out that the 68 column needs to be a full 1" shorter for a Borgeson install. Back to Ididit for a $75 fix. The column is Nice and works as advertised for a stock car.
