Idle Air Control Adjuster 1986-1993 is rated out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Art M from Worked great for me! No matter what I did i could not my car to stay on during cold starts. (Car's been sitting for a long time) I would start it and it would die a few seconds later because it couldn't hold an idle. I cleaned the throttle body and checked for vacuum leaks, changed intake and throttle body gaskets and no luck. Next I an EGR delete and replaced the TPS & IAC (they weren't giving error codes but they were very old) and again no luck. Finally I installed this adjuster and after a bit of adjusting i got the idle close to where it needed to be. Installation is simple and it does come with instructions. Ford recommends the idle be at 650 but the best I could do is +/-750. Now my car starts and stays running during cold starts. My idle does surge a slight bit up and down until the car warms up so I still have more adjusting to do but the surge is minimal and most importantly my car doesn't die anymore.
