Product Description

JLT Performance Passenger Side Oil Separator Kit for all 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 GT and 2012-2013 Boss 302 Mustangs.

Easily one of JLT Performance's most popular products, their oil separator will help keep oil out of your intake. While your engine is in the process of venting crankcase pressure back through your intake track, large amounts of oil, in the form of vapors, can coat your intake runners, throttle body and even dilute your gas, lowering its octane level. And a lower octane rating means less power!

Milled from solid billet aluminum with a black or clear anodized finish, this is a rock solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the spent oil and an O-ring seal to prevent any leaks. JLT took this unit a step further and added a Ford Motorcraft metal mesh PCV Pre-Filter element. This element collects the last bit of oil droplets and drains back into the tank when the engine is shut down. JLT has also included a factory PCV hose for an easy plug and play installation.

Features and Benefits:
- Billet Aluminum Construction
- Easy Do-It-Yourself Installation
- Utilizes OE Hoses and PCV Pre-Filter
- Keeps Oil out of the Intake Track
- Designed to Help Maintain Octane Level
- Made Right Here in the USA
- Available with a Black or Clear Anodized Finish

*Will NOT fit superchargers.
*The tank holds 2 oz. of fluid, while that may not sound like a lot, you shouldn't see that much oil in your PCV system. Drain it every oil change and you will never come close to filling it.
*Most of the oil will come from the passenger side, so if only getting one oil separator, this is the one to get!

JLT Oil Separator Passenger Side Kit GT 2011-2016/Boss 302 2012-2013 is rated 4.846153846153846 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oil seepage at inlet fitting Under the hood this morning to take photo's of hood struts. I notice around the inlet fitting on the JLT oil separator some oil wetness. Not enough to drip yet but, I'll have to address that. Will probably use some Leak Lock instead of Teflon tape on the treads. Leak Lock, used in HVAC, is impervious to oil/gasoline and Hydrofluoric acid. Install was simple, having to fix it with only about 200 miles of use is a minor hassle. So, 4 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product, but is it necessary? I bought this product and it was everything I expected: well made, easy to install, and good looking. I have a little over 5000 miles on my 2015 Mustang GT and about 4800 of those miles are with the JLT separator installed. I changed the oil this weekend and so I also emptied the JLT reservoir. Upon opening it, I found it barely over 1/10 full. Maybe it will pick up more oil as the engine begins to wear. I have also heard that Ford tried to decrease the oil seepage with the 2015. I think the JLT separator is one of those things that, at this price point, it's inexpensive insurance and worth buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice addition to the engine bay The JLT oil separator is worth the buy. I have had it installed for just a few hundred miles but feel better with the insurance it provides. It is a low-cost, quality and quickly installed engine piece that is practical but also looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection 10 second install… This is R&D at it's finest right here people. My Ford dealer that sold me my Mustang even recommended this part and website. This will absolutely extent the life of your engine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Install This is one of those items I didn't know I needed till reading about oil getting into the motor. This was the easiest part to install that looks good and has a true purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jlt oil separator I put it on my car at the dealer ship right when I signed all the papers for the car and boy it was the best thing I did. At 500 miles I checked it to see it was half full.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A quick install and great quality You get what you pay for. Maybe there are cheaper oil separators out there, but the build quality of the JLT is excellent. Takes 5 minutes to install if that. Drove about 75 miles and checked the container and there was oil on the bottom of the collector. I'm really glad I bought this!

Hi I note that this product is unsuitable for superchargers I guess this is due to the boost pressure - is there a product for supercharged engines or is it unnecessary ?

Asked by: Mustangmanuk
with forced induction you will have more effective compression, and in turn more blow by, so a oil separator is needed even more with a supercharger.  any intake mounted supercharger like the roush will usually have a new pcv line, so this will no longer be plug and play.  a more universal kit would be needed.  with a vortec or paxton style supercharger usually the pcv hose is retained as the stock intake is also retained.  if your aftermarket supercharger uses the stock pcv hose this will work,  if the kit modifies or replaces the pcv hose it will not work.

Good morning.. Does this come with the hoses too???

Asked by: Big 50
Yes, the are just shown in the primary image with the hoses blurred out for illustration purposes. There is a hose that will come off of each side with a factory fitting at each end to connect to the car. If you watch our product video, you will see the complete assembly.

Do you have 2015 GT Mustang JLT oil separators with out the threaded holes on top?

Asked by: Jacques
The unit I have on my '15 GT has no holes. The answer CJ gave you is incorrect. If you order this part, it will not have holes.

The JLT separator I have installed on my '15 GT does not have threaded holes on top for a bracket and is rubbing on the coolant tank. Is there a bracket available to secure it and eliminate this movement?

Asked by: LiquidSmokeMustang
Unfortunately, no, we don't.

JLT Oil Separator Passenger Side Kit GT 2011-2016/Boss 302 2012-2013 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: While EcoBoost platform is new to a lot of Mustang enthusiasts, one of the nice things about the 2015 Mustang GT is many of the things that we learned from the 11 through 14 are going to carry over. One problem with the 11 through 14 Mustangs, they tend to suck oil into the intake through the PCB system. Trace amounts won't cause any problems but the more oil you draw through, the more chance there is a permanent damage to your engine. Thankfully there is a very easy fix, the JLT performance oil separator.

This JLT performance oil separator is going to mount to the passenger side of your 2015 Mustang. There are versions for both the driver and passenger but between the two the passenger definitely draws a lot more oil through than the driver's side does. JLT makes the installation very easy by using factory Ford tubes and factory Ford fittings making it a very easy installation.

The oil separator itself is a billet aluminum housing that will hold two ounces of oil. While that may sound like a lot, two ounces is plenty for this application. JLT features a narrow bottom making it easy to unthread and drain out. They also use a Ford factory PCV pre-filter which will hold the oil before draining it into the container.

When I got my new 2015 Mustang I knew the JLT oil separator was going to be one of the first modifications I was going to do. When I had my 2011 last summer I took the car cross country. When I got out West I checked it, I had almost a quarter inch of oil in the bottom of the container. I drained it out and when I got home, almost the same amount. The JLT truly works.

Because the JLT uses the factory Ford line with the factory fitting, the installation is actually a breeze. There's no tools required. We'll start over here on the passenger's side valve cover. To remove the passenger's side valve cover, simply push up on the gray clip and it will slide right off. The other side of the intake release is the same way but you will have to pop the intake cover up to get your arm in there. Here you can see the stock line verse the oil separator. Again you can see stock Ford lines make for very easy OEM installation. Again here just slide on to hear it click into place. That's all there is to it.

The JLT oil separator looks OEM when it's installed and knowing how valuable it was on my 2011 made it a must have on my 2015 as well. Installation couldn't be easier, it will only take you a couple of minutes you'll be back on the road in no time.
