Not really that great.
First of all, you won't get a 6.5" speaker to look right on these kick panels, they overlap and stick out from the mounting pod about 1/4 to 1/2" depending on the speaker grill bezel because the flat part of the pod is only 6" in diameter. If you want it to sit flush and look right on the pod you have to drop down to a 5 1/4" speaker. The speaker pods are cut too big to use a 5 1/4" speaker, so I had to fab up a speaker mounting ring to screw the spear too out of plywood, not really that big of a deal, but kinda annoying after having to downgrade my speaker size. Then the mounting depth that these pods are capable of while sitting flush against the sheet metal in the car, and keeping the speaker from having magnet to metal contact, is only about 1 3/8", I know the components I bought were 2 1/4" and most speakers of this size are at least 1 3/4" so no matter what you're going to have contact and a kick panel that doesn't fit right. They are a good idea, but in my opinion not very well put together, and pretty expensive for the lack of quality design that went into them.

Well thought up
Thought they were very nice fitting. Wish they had the correct screw hole cast into them the passenger side panel needs a small insulator between the magnet and sheet metal. Over all fit was perfect slid right in. I mounted pioneer speakers into them and with the TMI console and doubledin pioneer deck a great modern twist to a classic 66 mustang. And they sound fantastic

Good Product
These fit well in the car, however modifications were required to fit my speakers of choice (due to depth of speaker). Overall we'll worth the money.

Great product!
Great product - easy install the beveled speaker pods fit and work great with 6 1/2" Pioneer Speakers. Little modification to fit, but exactly what I needed to send the sound to the passengers and not to their feet!

Didn't work with my 6.5's
I bought these with the understanding that they would work with my 6.5" speakers, but that was not the case. Putting 6.5" speakers in did not look/fit right, they were too big and would have looked bad. I purchased a pair of 5.25" speakers and they fit much better. I am using Kicker DS series speakers, and they are too deep so I had to make my own half inch spacers. I suggest that if you buy these that you not purchase the speakers in advance as I did and check the hole size when you get them. I too have had to trim lip that goes over the pinch weld in the door.

Work and look great. with some modification.
66 coupe. These work great and have plenty of backspace for regular 6.5 inch speakers. Used Polk Audio DXI 650s speakers. These have 2 inch mounting depth and they fit (but not a lot of room left). I did not need to buy special low profile speakers or cut any metal to make them fit. 4 stars because I had to trim a little and add a speaker mount to get them to fit right. Read below. But, I'm very happy with them. And the cutout for the screw that holds the door sill plate on is in the exact right spot. The reason for only a 4 star rating is because I had to trim them a little to get them to fit perfect. The lip at the bottom had to be trimmed off so they would fit under the door sill plate. But the sill plate holds them on just fine. I also trimmed the the lip at the top where they meet the windlace strip just to make it fit a little nicer. (could have cut the strip short instead). Lastly on the driver side, I trimmed down the tab that holds it close under the dash. It was so tight it was warping
