KYB Shock Kit Gas-A-Just 1965-1970 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from About To Purchase For A 2nd Time! I purchased these KYB Gas-A-Just shocks a few years back. They are still in great condition and still work the way that they were intended to! As soon as I installed these, I could see the difference and feel the difference when I took my 68 for a drive. I'm about to purchase another set of these to replace my current ones for cosmetic reasons. I would recommend these shocks to anyone who uses their car for anything more than a daily driver.

Just wonder why this set is so much more expensive then KYB Shock Kit Excel-G.  They both have great reviews

Asked by: mark72
The difference in price has a lot to do with the ride type - the Gas-A-Just is a performance shock, which is typically more expensive to produce due to the higher quality, more durable components. The Excel-G are daily driving shocks, so they won't see the same abuse and, as such, are cheaper to make.

I am planning on lowering my 66 mustang to suit 215x45/17" and 235x45/17 tyres. Are these shocks OK or do you recommend the Koni Classic kit?

Asked by: VE66RT
Depends on the ride type you want. The Gas-A-Just is more of a competition shock, with performance ride characteristics, while the Classic kit is a cruising shock, with a softer ride.

A guy named Eaton, on uTube, said that my '65 coupe (originally came with a 6, now has a '84 302 HO, w/ aluminum heads; 3 speed manual, changed to '96-5 speed manual) should not use gas shocks as designed for hydraulics.  Sup w/that.

Asked by: Gerard
He's wrong. These will fit your 1965 (as long as you didn't change the suspension too dramatically as part of your other upgrades). Since you didn't mention any suspension changes, I'm thinking you're probably good.

Hey Mate, I heard thru the grapevine that there were strikes at some wharves in LA, would this affect our order deliveries to Oz?

Asked by: daza
The strike ended on February 27. Everything should be back to normal by now.

Hi..I'm interested in a set of KYG gas-adjust shocks. I have a 1967 corvette but the ad you show only talks about Mustangs....what's your recommendation for a C2 vette? Thanks, Rob Santoli

Asked by: Bobby4
We're primarily a Mustang shop here, which is why we don't know fitment on a Corvette. We don't know much about them, so we really can't give a recommendation.
