These LED bulbs should exceed standard halogen bulbs, and be comparable to the brightness of HID bulbs. Each bulb emits 2,200 lumens, which nears the best of the best HID bulbs.
The unique construction and design of each bulb allows for proper heat dissipation. Each bulb will feel cool when touched even after hours of use, unlike HID bulbs which have the potential to reach melting temperatures.
Each bulb comes with a concave reflector which allows for a more fluid light pattern, further light visibility, and anti-glare against oncoming traffic. Every bulb features a low beam and high beam function.
Waterproof and Dustproof
The Oracle Lighting 9007 LED Headlight Bulbs are rated at an IP65 Waterproof rating, and are also dustproof and shockproof, which eliminates the pain of changing bulbs due to shattering.
- 2 Oracle Lighting 9007 LED bulbs
- 2 Oracle Lighting 9007 compact LED drivers
Both bulbs in this kit are powered by 2x14 W CREE LED chips (per bulb). The included bulbs in this kit will fit in stock or aftermarket headlight assemblies. No modifications are necessary for installation. Instead of using ballasts like other HID kits this particular kit utilizes compact LED drivers. An added bonus for this kit is that the included bulbs plug directly into your stock headlight harness.

The LED conversion kit is simple to install and includes everything necessary for a plug and play installation. The plug's going to go right in your factory plug, it's going to go into the LED driver and then the LED bulb. Unlike a popular HID bulb, the LED bulb's going to be shock proof, water proof, and it's also going to run much, much cooler. These have a built-in cooling fan, they're going to be cool to the touch even if they're on for hours versus a Halogen or an HID which you wouldn't even want to touch, it could possibly burn your housings. I've been looking to do an upgrade to the headlights on my ‘96 Cobra for a while, because of the smoke lenses the factory bulbs just aren't getting it done. I tried a different bulb but I want something a lot brighter, the LEDs should be the perfect choice.
We're going to show you how to install the LEDs using the headlight housing on a bench. Start by saying that you do not absolutely have to take your headlights out to install these. We're only doing that to make it easier for you to see how everything goes together because where it actually is in the car is kind of hard to see. Whether you're using the stock or aftermarket headlight, the headlight bulb's held in by this ring. Start off by removing the harness, then turn the ring counter-clockwise, pull that off, and then you can remove your stock bulb.
This is where the LED's a little bit different from your standard bulb. You want to grab your LED bulb and you actually turn this counter-clockwise as well and slide this off the bulb. This seal here is going to go into the headlight housing first. Notice there's multiple locations on the bottom, there's only one slot on the top. This slot goes towards the top of your headlight housing. Keep the slot straight up and when you'll push it in it'll go flush. It has to sit flush with this edge. If it's sticking up at all, the light will not seat popular, it will not stay in place.
Now grab the original retaining ring, put it in place and then turn it clockwise to lock it. Now you'll grab your LED bulb, put it in and then you're going to turn that and lock that into place as well. You can install it this way with the harness up and I can actually pull it out and rotate it 180 degrees and also install it with the harness down, whatever way's easier for your installation. Now I'll grab our LED driver, line up the tab, push that in, put a screw in the retainer... then you'll just take the other end and plug it into your factory headlight wiring and you're finished.
Once you have everything connected you'll want to check the headlights, make sure your high beams and low beams both work, then you'll want to mount the LED driver. Double stick tape, or you can use screws near these holes just to mount it in place. On a 94 through 98 car, simply unthread this here. If you have it, if it's a 94' through 95' it may not. You can pop this up and your headlight's right here. On the 99' through 04' car, it's actually easier just to pop the headlights out. You look at the back of your headlight, there will be two little metal pull tabs, pull that out and the headlight comes right out.
Here you can see the LED headlights lit up. Obviously they're much, much better than what we've removed. The nice thing about these two is that they can run a lot cooler than the equivalent HID so there's no worries about burning up our housings. There's no reason to worry about the life of an LED, either; estimate in life of these bulbs is around 10,000 hours. Eight hours a night every night they'd still last you ten years.
Here you can see a comparison of the smoke style stock cobra lights on my 96' cobra. Keep in mind the driver's side bulb is an after market Xenon 80 watt bulb. You see a huge difference with the LED. I think it's a lot brighter, it's a lot clearer, whiter light and the dispersion's much, much better than the standard bulb. As we just showed you an LED upgrade for your SN 95' Mustang couldn't be easier, and you're going to see the difference the first time you drive the car at night. Installations take you about 15 minutes total, requires no tools at all, so you'll be back on the road in no time.
